Took the 77 GMC out today to the gas station down the road. Some guy started ogling over it pretty good, asked if I would be interested in a trade. He's got a 2003 Town Car, has a built supercharged 4.6 that dyno'd out at 450 WHP...... looks completely stock in and out. Darn tempting, that car would be a riot to hoon around in!

I have his number. Give it some thought this weekend. What y'all think???

At the least a test drive is in order.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Finally got my Tundra home I bought in Vancouver back in December. Amazing that this was considered full size in 2000, it's small! Lots of fun with the 4.7 V8, that little motor has plenty of spunk. Keep or sell?....not sure yet as I have a "keep" truck now, a 2006 GMC with the Duramax.

Wow, just seeing this.  Nice find!     It does look small by current standards.  Looks smaller even than the current taco.  Also, I didn't realize these came with suicide rear doors.  Those doors would be the major irritant for me.  As a keeper you'd really have to get used to parking at the far reaches of parking lots away from anyone else, then get pissed anytime someone parks next to you if you have something to chuck in the back seat.   ;D

That hot-rod Lincoln sounds interesting as well.   O0

How do you decide On which car to buy when you can only see a picture at Online auction  ???

Do you just add in a grand or two in your price to couple any repairs ?

They have many pictures inside and out, plus pics of any damage. Auctions grade from 1-5, 5 being brand new. So if used vehicle is graded a 3.0 its in pretty decent condition. The dealer auction does a pretty good job on condition reports. As far as mechanical goes it depends on what "light" the vehicle is sold under. Red light is as-is, anything and everything can be wrong with the unit, most things worth buying don't sell under red light. Green light is a vehicle that has either been inspected prior to the sale or will get one after you buy. The auction has a huge mechanical shop, they check all major components, frame and structural, and then a test drive, if any one problem that would cost over $750 to fix you can either refuse the sale or re negotiate with the seller. Yellow light has seller declared issues or is out of province/rebuilt/etc.

The only vehicles that I've been stuck with major issues bought as-is are diesel trucks or really cheap beater type vehicles.

Surprisingly well! I've been driving it almost daily, so far haven't had a single issue. Been doing some detail work on it when I have time, I'll post more pictures soon.

I’ve driven it 800km so far. Got a chance to give it a wax job today. Turned out ok. Also treated the leather seats, hard to make 35yr old leather look good but they turned out decent. Next up, detailing the engine compartment.

I remember those alloys. Chrysler used them on many of their cars, including the The Daytona and Laser.

I love it - I'm sure that Chrysler was inspired by the original SAAB 900.

Sold in Europe as the Chrysler GTS (Belgian plates on this one).

Exterior looks great! Big greenhouse, and that old paint just glows!

Interior looks like it was made with a ruler, my Olds car and my Ford pickup looked pretty similar
