I ended up with the 2007 with 621,000 for $200. Frankly amazed at how tight this thing still is, no rattles, vibrations, leaks, or any options that don't work. The seats are still in great shape and the engine sounds great. It cruises down the highway extremely well, nice and quiet.

621449 ,I wonder if that engine has ever been apart. The 3.3 was a fairly durable motor.

I liked the vans we had of that generation. Very usable vehicles. Take this one on the beater rally!

I love really high mileage vehicles, especially when they're well cared for. I've had the chance to drive a couple really high milers and it's pretty friggin cool to think that a vehicle can still look and drive great even though it's gone 5+ times it's expected life.

Notables for me where a 1.14million kms 92 Ford Ranger that I e-tested when I was working in the shop (passed!) and an 05 Escalade I saw when we were looking for ours. Both were pretty mint and drove well.

So how does a leasing company still have all of these old high KM vans?

I find it hard to believe that a hollow mini-van, especially a Dodge, can be rattle free.  :-\

All I can say is the seller was in fact a large Canadian Leasing company. No ideal of the why's and how's they held on to these van's so long. The same company had a 2014 new body style GMC Sierra with 265,000 km.

That's the thing...it's really tight. You'd expect the thing to feel and shake/rattle like some old battlewagon, but it's the opposite. On my way home there's a back road I take that's a lightly paved over gravel road, not at all a smooth road, the van took it great, mind you all the rear seats were in the "stow" position, not sure if that helped the quiet feel. I've always found this particular generation of Dodge Caravans to be quite well put together and nowhere near the rattleboxes the older generations were.

Always been fascinated with high milers as well.  I've seen many big miled domestic pickups at auctions. Many come from the local Hutterite colonies who tend to trade in at anything over 700,000 km. We actually owned a ex-Hutterite truck for many years on the Farm, a 94 GMC 1-ton with the 6.5 Detroit Diesel. I cracked a piston towing a bit too heavy on a hot day...it had 780,000k at that time and before that day ran like a charm still.

A friend of Dad's had a 1996 Jetta Turbodiesel -- he put 600,000 on it in 4 years and then the turbo died.  My Dad said it couldn't have been a great car as the turbo only lasted four years.  My response was "WTF? It did 30 years of driving in 4 years."  Sometimes I don't get my father at all...

This is a 94 Cherokee Country, RUST FREE! These things basically disintegrate from the underbody-up. Spring hanger mounts, floorboards, and rockers all just disappear. Most actually appear to be in decent condition until you crawl underneath. This guy lived in sunny BC up until 2016 when he came to Alberta. Need a few odds n" end's for it but it'll be just the Jeep that old XJ hunter needs. It's quite fun to drive, the 4.0 HO L-6 has plenty of zip and the Jeep feels so small and maneuverable.

Love that! I think these, in good rust free condition, will be very collectible in the not so distant future.

I totally missed the Caravan...you're in Alberta right?  You can sign up for Dent's beater drive....only no one's going to believe you were under the $750 threshold or that it's a beater...

Nice Jeep too.  Friend of mine would probably buy that off you in a heartbeat...is he had the $. Big dreams of restoring his...but it's so far gone, and I guess because he'll never have the money, he can afford only to dream.  That's the cheap & easy part.

There wouldn't be any fun though....the Caravan is too "nice" lol. I have this ancient New Yorker K with a running Mitsubishi silent shaft 2.6 4 cyl that would make a good beater rally car. Bonus points would be earned because it talks lol.

Anywho, gave the Jeep a wax today. Installed a new A/C compressor (the old one was growley) Next come an interior clean.

Are those wheels correct?  They don't look right to me.

Wheels are correct.  They were used on the Country package.
