Nice!

And also a visual reminder that at one time low profile tires were uncommon.  That Buick is practically shod with blimps!
that's how it gives you that smooth no bump ride. :)

Another great find, rev!

Thanks all!

The secret is out I guess, I do make windfalls of money flipping Buicks. Since they appreciate in value so well, my Barn is full of new Regals and Encore's that will pay my grandchildren's college/uni tuition one day.

Picked up my first EV/hybrid. A 2013 Volt. Brought it back from Vancouver yesterday. Average was 6.3L/100km. Had the little gas engine screaming pretty good over the coquihalla, but was able to regen half battery on the downhills. Trying out full battery today see how it does. I really like this thing so far.

Use Mountain mode before going uphill next time, the battery reserve will be around 45%, so even digging in deep, it will help to maintain the battery level state.

Took me awhile to figure out that "mountain mode" actually charged the main battery (too late for the coq climb) but it maintained 90 km/h easily. Such a neat little car. Reading all the forums it seems they're really reliable too. My only gripes so far are the headlights, they are terrible on dark mountain roads in the rain, and not a huge fan of the touch panel.

Got a pretty good deal on it I think. The cheapest 2013 listed in Canada is about $4000 more than I paid for this one and it has 70,000 more K. Mine has 120k so mileage is not too bad. Tempted to keep it around for a bit.

I installed this HID https://www.xenondepot.com/9012-xtr-hid-kit? in my 2013 Volt, my son is owning it now.
Next summer project: I'll do it again with my 2014, maybe giving a try to https://www.headlightrevolution.com/9006-HB4-Ultra-2.0_2?,but just don't decided yet...

So just over 600km since buying the Volt, at 630 km I refilled the gas tank that I topped up before leaving Vancouver. Not yet sure how to get optimal mileage (drive modes etc) I’m able to run on battery only for my daily trips into town (I’m 10km out) run errands and drive back. The colder weather definitely degrades range a bit. The electric pre warmup is cool as it’s instant heat. The car itself is surprisingly nice to drive. Smooth ride, solid feel, and it steers and handles really well. The lifetime average is 4.7 L/100km.

Tell me something I don't already know  8) I love this little bugger !!

Sport mode is my usual one, the accelerator pedal travel is shorter, car performance are the same as in Normal. Mountain mode you discovered its purpose. Hold mode is to keep battery for later use. Normal is what it is.

You can choose either low braking regen level with shifter in "D" position, or higher regen in "L".
If slippery, keep it in "D" to avoid hesitation between regen and ABS friction brake.
Unless specific needs (mountain, hold mode), it is up to you between D, L & Normal / Sport. Enjoy !!

Thanks! Good to know “L” increases regen, I’ve never tried it so I’ll give it a go next trip as we have plenty of downhills here. I’ve been leaving it in mountain mode for the most part. I’ll try sport for a bit. Discovered today I can adjust the temperature that the ICE kicks in, was set at 35 degrees, I set it to 15.
