Found a nice original 1985 Chrysler Lebaron GTS Turbo.

HP: 146 @ 5200 rpm
Torque: 168 lb ft @ 3600 rpm
(Standard Catalog of Chrysler)

Can we get an underhood pic, Rev?

Certainly, I'll grab one tomorrow in the daylight.

My bro in law used to tinker with these engines. He had a Caravan with the 2.5 turbo that he ran low 13's in. He had a blast waising fast cars in a 4cyl minivan. Not much needed to get these engines to serious power levels, but they sure aren't the picture of dependability when modded.

man, where do you find these cherry examples??...i haven't seen one of these is 20-25 years...thinking back, domestic sedans were the norm back in the day...my buddy's mom had a Shadow (i'm guessing 91?) that we always booted around town in and it was a great car (at the time).

HEY NOW! This is a family site! ;D

That’s a fantastic find - it’s pretty much a U.S. SAAB 900 Turbo.

They seem to find me sometimes. I’ve never had one of these but when I was a kid our next door neighbour had one, a silver 85 with cloth seats. I remember riding in it one day and it felt like a 400hp rocket to 8 yr old me, that turbo spooled up and the car was off.

Needed to buy an Alberta vehicle here in BC to take back to Alberta and drive back a BC registered Escalade I bought in Calgary. Figured it made a tiny bit of financial sense if the deal was right on the vehicle I’d be taking to AB. Anyway, bought this somewhat interesting Hummer H3 in Vancouver. It was a BC truck from new up until 2016 when it went to Alberta, wound up back in BC this year and only put 14,000 km on it since the inspection for Alberta was done in 2016. So I figured mechanically it might be solid.

The only really unique thing about the H3 was it’s a 5 speed. Quite rare in these things. Then I had a interesting surprise when the original title came in the mail this week, the registered owner was Tesla Motors Canada LTD (not the seller at the auction either, Tesla was the owner) I wonder what exactly Tesla was doing with a Hummer, kinda the antipode of Tesla. Made the trip from Van to Calgary, it ran very well but a fair ways underpowered with the 5cyl engine. Still think that if GM did Hummer right it would have been a successful division. Rumoured that it’s returning under the GMC line as a electric Off road SUV.

That is interesting, both the 5-sp and the Tesla thing....Witnessed one of those H3's plow into an E92 3-series coupe at an intersection the other day....the H3 won.

Finally got my Tundra home I bought in Vancouver back in December. Amazing that this was considered full size in 2000, it's small! Lots of fun with the 4.7 V8, that little motor has plenty of spunk. Keep or sell?....not sure yet as I have a "keep" truck now, a 2006 GMC with the Duramax.

Thats one minty first gen Tundra. Its worth big bucks if the rust is minimal.

Been looking...haven't found any yet, got up on a hoist and the frame looks good too. Was a Vancouver truck since new, so rust seems to be a much smaller problem than what I'm used to. Also just had a timing belt done 12,000 km ago. Figure if someone wants a nice one this should get decent coin.

Are there any minty 2003-2009 4runner V8 limiteds or 2004-2006 LS430s you have come across in your travels?

Asking for a "friend" :rofl2:

Hard to find but they do pop up. Right now there's only one LS430 (in Vancouver) with 335,000km. No V8 4 runners that era. I'm finding the Tacoma, first gen Tundra's and 4 Runners aren't vehicles you buy without frame inspections. Watched a beautiful 2007 Tacoma run through the Calgary auction, brought decent money too. It was arbitrated and back in the sale the next week with a "frame rotted" declaration. Thats some scary stuff if you bought it "as is".

I missed out on what looked  like a Mint 2005 LS430 in Calgary here, with 140k km on it. Sold in a couple days on kijiji.

Took the 77 GMC out today to the gas station down the road. Some guy started ogling over it pretty good, asked if I would be interested in a trade. He's got a 2003 Town Car, has a built supercharged 4.6 that dyno'd out at 450 WHP...... looks completely stock in and out. Darn tempting, that car would be a riot to hoon around in!

I have his number. Give it some thought this weekend. What y'all think???
