From the Car and Driver archive.

1985 Chrysler LeBaron GTS Turbo: Swinging for the Fences

I had an '87 LeBaron Turbo Coupe.  The only car I ever owned that I would describe as an unmitigated POS.  Surprised they didn't go bankrupt on warranty repairs on that one car alone.  :hurl: :hurl:  Whiz-bang indeed - the sound of the next thing breaking.  :rofl2:

Let me guess; this was your last Chrysler?

Ding ding ding!  :winner:

Really liked the E46 wagon I had a few years back, always thought it would be really neat with a 5 speed. Found one!

Very nice, I've always liked these (duh, I'm a BMW wagon owner).

Holy grail is a RWD manual one with the sport package. They did sold those hear but they are as rare as hen's teeth.

Just brought this home today. Local, one owner grandpa truck. I spent $7 washing it. No detailing yet. I haven’t seen one this clean in a good long time. It’s a 94. Some people just seem to really know how to look after a vehicle. There isn’t a speck of rust anywhere, a few minor rock chip, and zero door dings. Still has its original windshield. Oh, and it’s got 314k!

That looks great! It's amazing how long a vehicle can last in the right climate and care....and how quickly one can destroy a vehicle in a rough climate with little care.

Beautiful, love the grandpa work truck spec - regular cab, topper, running boards, 2 tone paint, 4x4. Such a spec does not exist anymore right?

You can still get regular cab 4x4’s. Just not in two tone. And running boards are a thing of the past though I do see them on Hutterite trucks still. Ugly as they are, they allowed the rockers on this truck to stay like new.

Ford will sell you a two tone.

I found that the grandpa spec used to be 2WD. Lots of those trucks running around in Nova Scotia back in the '90s. You knew it was an old owner if it was a regular cab long bed 2WD but wasn't the base model.

These days it's an old man spec if it's two tone with the "long" box on a crew cab.

Interior BC. Okanagan. If you ever need eyes on a vehicle here hit me up. I know almost every general/used/new car manager around.

That grandpa truck is a thing of beauty!! Oh, and the BMW is more enticing than absolutely anything they have in their entire fleet today, a manual wagon

I thought in general YYC prices were more expensive than Ontario?

They are more expensive in YYC I find. Could’ve been a specific model/trim he was after. I know many people here won’t buy a vehicle from Alberta, never mind eastern Canada.

Picked this Acura TSX up for real cheap. Only has 543,000 km, runs awesome though and it came with a set of winters on rims worth more than I paid for the car lol. And it has the 6 speed manual, might make a decent winter car.
