This afternoon I got stuck behind a line of Harley trikes on a twisty and bumpy back road with a speed limit of 80km/h.  Had no choice but sit back and watch them meander and bounce down the road going between 40 - 50km/h for around 20km.   ::)

I would have lost my mind.  ;D

That much under the speed limit is hugely annoying.

I feel ya, was stuck on a secondary highway behind a bunch of those noisy mobility scooters going 20 under the limit and the traffic was way too busy to try to pass. Harleys, proudly holding up traffic since the early 1900s.

Lighten up Francis.....

Harley bros generally aren't about speed - especially in the twisties - and that goes triple for trikes.  ;D  My wife would have blown past those guys on her 125cc Honda.  ;D

Tips:

I don't understand the move to 18% or 20% minimums when you're handed the debit/credit machine.  Food prices already went up....so isn't the standard 15% already more than it used to be? Tipping amounts had to go up by MORE than inflation? WTF.

Classic tipping situation that drives me bonkers.  I often stop at a brewery I like in PEI to grab a flat of cans to take home.  I literally go to the take-out fridge, bring them to the counter, and ask to have them rung in.  Then I'm handed a machine that's waiting for the tip amount to be selected.  Starting at 18%.  I think the :censor: not.

Yeah, it's outta hand. We were at a resort in Nashville last week that had one of those indoor gondola river things inside it, it was like $10/person to ride the boat, but kids really wanted to, so I paid up...$40 for a 15 minute ride around the hotel, but then the guy handed me the machine and it's doing the 18% minimum tip! Literally all the guy did was collect payment!

Nobody gets a tip from me for merely handing me my food.

Not ever.

We don't ever go to restaurants now.  We may order take out but it's rare.  Tipping is beyond out of control and needs to die.

I wonder if there are apps of website that shows tipless restaurants.

Do they also serve drinks for on premise consumption at this cash register? That may be why the tip option comes out. When I'm buying beer to go at a brewery I do sometimes tip a couple bucks but that's usually only if I know the person working. Otherwise I don't feel bad about skipping the tip option.

At sit down restaurants I don't mind tipping 20-25%, particularly if the service is excellent and/or it's a place I regularly go. If you are a regular somewhere tipping can definitely contribute to a better experience, and in the grand scheme of things it's a small price to pay for that.

A friend owns a micro-brewery, that's exactly how it is, same point of sale for both buying for immediate consumption there or buying a flat of beer for at home....however, if buying for takeout he always skips the tip option  before handing the person the device.

There was a manager at the local Pizza Hut who used to do that, it was much appreciated.

Not so irritating, moreso made me laugh.  As many of us do, I was browsing vehicles today.  Came across a low km 2022 MDX.  Stock photos showed dark blue exterior and brown interior.  Nice.  Get in touch with sales, ask for actual photos, and turns out the car has a light grey interior.  OK, whatever, move on. Salesman asks if I'm open to other suggestions.  I say sure, what do you have?  He sends me a link to a 2022 Mazda 3.  FML.  I'm looking at midsize CUVs and you send me a compact car.  Guess I wasn't clear enough  :rofl2:.

As for tipping...It is still optional so they can put what evern % amount they want on the display. Just make sure there is an option for NO TIP and FIXED AMOUNT.

Personally, I don't understand why anybody would click on the % as you are now tipping on the included taxes. That is really stupid.
