We are in the midst of a high wind event this evening.  Neighbour two doors down is renovating to sell the property, and there's all kinds of junk in his backyard.  Every time the wind blows hard, something bangs around very loudly - sounds like sheet metal.   >:(  I want to sleep with my windows open tonight, but I'm not sure it will be a good idea if this keeps up.

I'm thinking of the folks in Puerto Rico right now who would give anything to have windows to keep out the elements.
My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government. - Thomas Jefferson

Telus Mobility.  With the kid moving, we were looking at options to minimize her cell costs.  Turns out I can buy cheap small plans for countries far away but not for calling within Canada. I don't even want to spend the $15/month for Canada Wide calling - because we can't go back to the old plan once she comes back home.  Ugh.

Sitting in the Maple Leaf lounge in Pearson. The food here has gone from ok to so-so to ridiculously bad over the past 20 years.

There is always that 'other' way of watching movies, if you want to protest price increases.

Yes, I find the Priority Pass Lounges better food wise. No magazines though. :P

I tried that...and failed miserably.  Followed the YouTube video and everything, downloaded it onto my MAC...all I got was a pretty blue screen with all kinds of things to click on (like settings and shi#) except movies, and fack all else.  Apparently Kodi is hard to install, much less figure out how to work it.  Maybe I'll have to try again.

I'm thinking one of mine would think it's wrong, the other couldn't care less, he just wants to watch other people play games on You Tube (I know, right? One of those...really...facking do something else FFS), and I'm too lazy (insert other terms at your pleasure).  Doesn't work the first time, fack it, I give up.  I'll put your flooring in or do plumbing and electrical...but download and install?  I feel like Kendall Jenner does about her Pepsi ad...only without offending anyone.  ;D

Missed this....It was smokey bacon split pea and some kind of watery looking Tomato pasta, neither of which I would eat. I ended up leaving early and stopping at Mill St Brewery on the way to my gate for a late lunch. Their beef dip is pretty good with one of their organic lagers. :)

The ML lounges actually seen to do much better in the AM....Vancouver had fresh fruit, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bagels, pastries etc

Mill Street used to be my go to at YYZ but I find it's a bit overpriced for what you get. Which I suppose is expected at an airport.

It's certainly better than Wahlburgers though.

Just had lunch and hit the % tip button on the machine when it was time to pay. Looked at the receipt afterwards and realized it had calculated the tip based on the after-tax total, not pre-tax.

Maybe it’s always been that way and I’ve never noticed? Regardless, it seems sneaky to me. From now on I’ll be calculating the tip amount myself, thank you very much.

Yeah. Not a big deal to me but I tend to tip fairly generously anyways.
