I use Flickr Pro, but free accounts are available.  I'd look that, BW.

All my Photobucket links still work.

I think there's a data threshold, under which they don't seem to care (for now, anyway.) I'm not sure exactly, but doubt I've got more than 50 pictures linked from there.

Dammit...looks like I need to find another photo hosting site or start a new P-Bucket account.  $400/yr to be able to post pics? Fack...irritated.  Apparently this
https://www.theverge.com/2017/7/4/15919224/photobucket-broken-images-amazon-ebay-etsy-paid-update

Yeah, what a bunch of ba$tards, I have hundreds of links to my photos on photobucket.  Many are on this forum, or, I guess, were.

I'm not paying, so most of my photo links are gone forever.
Sorry for all the broken links folks.

Emails from Amazon announcing a "new release" from one of my authors.....then when you click on the link you find it's not coming out for 5 or 6 months.  ::)

By my authors you mean ones where you always buy their books?   I get those as well,I put them in my wish list and preorder a month before pub date.

What authors do you follow?

Or are you an agent for authors?   Anyone famous?

Yes, by "my authors" I mean authors I read regularly. I read a lot and a fairly diverse selection from historical fiction to police/crime thrillers to si-fi.

Some of my favorites are Lee Child,John Sanford, Dewey Lambdin, Robert Crais, Ace Atkins, Patrick Taylor, David Weber, S M Stirling, Jay Allan, Glynn Stewart, Griff Hosker and Frederick Forsyth.

Authors from the past include C S Forester, Patrick O'Brien, Alistair MacLean, John D MacDonald, George Macdonald Fraser, and Robert B Parker.

Everyone loves a good barbecue, but research has shown that grilling meats at high heat can cause the carcinogens heterocyclic amine (HCA) and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) to form. And it's not an insignificant amount.

FTW, I'm not saying this is true or not but don't go on and on about how super healthy your meat is like you are something special and trying to impress me, because I'm not.

I read Child, Sanford and  also Baldacci   but I don't buy them...library only.
I buy S M Stirling, Weber and also   Neal Stephenson, CJ Cherryh, Asher, Stross, Doctorow, Bujold and Eric Flint. Harry Turtledove sometimes...his books have not been good lately.   I like long series and my taste is far more towards SF than yours.

From the past, Fraser yes indeed,  and  Clancy. Of course all the SF greats since the '50s and the late Sir Terry Pratchett...I have all of his books and often reread them.

They like to run a grader down the gravel shoulder on the back roads around here.  Who ever does it is pushing a bunch of gravel back onto the road making it smaller and we now have to ride in the middle of the lane. Of course, where there is a bike shoulder, it just completely eliminates it so we are back out onto the road.

Makes no sense.

Anyone who grills their meat and chars it are the ones who are at greater risk...they've also likely ruined the meat. Anyone who likes their meat medium had little worry..particularly if using propane as the fire source. And you'd have to eat LOTS of poorly cooked meat. And the results are inclusive in humans.

That being said..if you think grilling is bad...Why not have the cleanest, safest cut of meat to mitigate risk? Plus quality grass fed beef usually tastes better too!

The company hired a new accountant.  So now, we get to do the same thing all over again as we did a few years ago.
-What's this bill we get every month for?  Let me see, flip flip flip, that looks like our 1-800 number, see, it's printed right here?  Oh, okay.
-We got a payment direct deposited from xxx.  Do you know what customer that is?  Let me see last month's bank reconciliation.  See, it's shown as YYYY.  Oh, okay.
Is customer xyz the same as customer xyk?  no, they're separate companies, but owned by the same group.  You have to keep them separate, they are separate corporate entities.

Honestly, what do they teach accountants?  How not to look for any information?  I'm not an accountant, you should at least be able to look at the last 15 years of monthly records to see the recurring stuff and figure out what it is.  We only have about 200 customers, surely you can keep them figured out!!!!!

Among the everyday irritants that one can face, very few are worse than discovering there's no TP after a #2...   >:(
