Getting around city centres in Italy. Straight roads that are interspersed with random one-ways and transit-only sections.

Sure, the road in front of my hôtel technically leads straight FROM the centre of Bologna. But to get TO the centre, you need to make a dozen turns. Without sat nav this evening, I just plain gave up. "I was here 10min ago......!"§$ je suis perdu"

Did you get some sleep at least?

Going to be a long week for me! Last week before 2 weeks off!

Yeah, at least I'm not dog tired.

Working days lately?

Two weeks off would be good right about now.  :)
I need that. But the work would just like up. ......

The streetsweepers sound like taxiing airliners...  Feels like trying to get to sleep next to an airport as opposed to in the middle of downtown...
I'd rather be car-poor than house-poor...

I don't mind them. But it drives me nuts when people are parked on the road in front of my house so I get to hear them but have none of the benefit

They should be towing people and slapping them with fines.....I hate that. Either park on your driveway or in the garage. Around here they give you plenty of warning.
Lighten up Francis.....

A couple years ago I had an "animated" conversation with a neighbor on that topic. When they put out the notices for when the street sweepers were coming, this guy moved his cars from in front of his house to in front of my house. He thought it was totally reasonable to keep his area clear at someone else's expense.  ::)

Is he okay with you parking your cars in front of his house then?

On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Apparently, VW Finance now has flagged me for having insufficient liability insurance. I explained that I had $2M and that was sufficient. She agreed, and seemed puzzled that I was flagged.

I'm getting annoyed.

When you lease, they own the car, and you must carry the right type and amount of insurance to satisfy them.  I've only leased once and it was a little different from buying in some regards.  I know when you finance a car, the lender usually has rules regarding insuring the vehicle, but leasing seems to have a lot more little things.

Do they think you're leasing?

Is an ex-wife working at VW finance?

Well exactly! WTF business is it of VW what my deductible is, or how much liability insurance I have?

Do I have sufficient collision coverage to cover the cost of the car? Yes. Then stay the :censor: out of my business.

My coverage met the terms when I leased the car, now, two years later, they have questions?

This is my fourth lease, and the only one where I've had issues.
