I love a burger at a good diner where they toss the bun on the grill so it's both toasted and a little greasy

Me too!  Untoasted buns just don't seem right.  I'm with Tortoise as well.  At home, I even butter them after toasting, because I hate it when the ketchup soaks into the bread. It has to float!

reggies used to do a great bagel burger, they'd fry the bagel on the flat top with the burger, so it absorbed the grease, and slathered it with fried onions....now that was good grease.

I haven't eaten a burger in months, but I generally don't care if the bread is toasted or not. I care more what kind of bread it is- I avoid the cheap white bread type. Some places here offer a brioche-type bun that I prefer.

Had a burger at Ossies's today for lunch and that's the way they do them there!  It was perfect!

Try Carmin's in St Stephen some time Tom. They do a great burger that way too.  I usually try and time my runs to the border to include lunch there.

I don't think I've ever had a burger at Ossie's.....too busy scarfing down clams!

Yea, Carman's is a great old style diner!  They make a killer bfast...literally!  Bring your defibrillator!

Update on car expert, right before he left he told me more grand stories of his magical 390 pickup truck:

Empty...going downhill with a good tailwind in neutral, maybe 10-12. He said this was a 3+3 crewcab one ton 4x4 truck. I think that truck struggled to get into the double digits brand new out of the showroom.

Nestlé controls the entire sale and price of capsules. While the machines are sold in various places, the capsules can only be bought on their own website or at a boutique. Normally I have to order online because the nearest brick-and-mortar is hundreds of kms away; figured I'd stop by while there already in the centre of Toulouse and wow.....yeah.......what a difference in price.

Kind of like how wine AOC Saint-Émilion normally runs 20-30 $US but in France it's fairly cheap 6-9€ bottle. Yes, I brought a bottle of wine back as well.

Ah, € and US$. Real money I wish we had....
