They want you to INCREASE your deductible?  Wouldn't it be more in their interests to get you to lower your deductible?  I really don't get it.

Yup. This is the first time I've had this kind of call from a finance company. It was very odd.

Call from VW Finance. They want me to increase the deductible on my insurance from $750 to $1000.  ???

I was not in the mood to discuss it.

Any ideas as to why?

Very odd.  Standard SGI deductible is $700, and you can go down from there with added package policies.  Never heard of going up.

You sure you're hearing them right?  You did only get 2 hours of sleep afterall  :P
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Reasonably sure. But you're right. It's been a shitshow today.

What a weird request Sir O.....I have never heard of that before. As for me, went through two double turning lanes today, both times had to brake and swerve because two separate twatwaffles refused to stay in their own lane  >:( >:(
Lighten up Francis.....

I could never wrap my head around the budgets those people were operating with.

Double turns here are always a gamble too. At least one nimrod discovered that Regina Transit don't give a :censor: about your lack of lane discipline. It was glorious.  ;D

Today I was driving through a construction zone.  There are the signs everywhere and the workers holding the SLOW signs.

Yet, as I'm driving through, the workers are giving me the "hurry up" arms and gesticulating wildly as if I'm driving TOO slowly.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Is that a nickel?  Dime? Drachma?  $12 Cdn?  A toonie...no, I know...it's equivalent to a fraggle rock sized piece of Mayan jade!  That took me a while to figure out.  But I'm glad I could clear that up for anyone else who was confused by it.  So now we know.

You're welcome

Know the coins: 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 1€, 2€

The paper bills are conveniently sized based on their value.

Note that 1 and 2 cent coins are not accepted in Finland, which uses rounding similar to Canada, except they use it for both card & cash transactions.

If you want confusion, you should see American cashiers' faces when I give them an American loonie (1$), which I use all the time.

I've just about had it with my Mazda 3's gas gauge.  I finally did some real "benchmarking" on it between Niagara + Montreal and the indicator is completely hooped.

With all highway driving, the cruise control set to 110 and the tank topped up I got:

Full to 1/2 tank:  410KM

1/2 to "I'm running on fumes":  ~200KM

I mean what the actual eff?  You would think that sometime around when we landed a dude on the moon car makers would have found a way to make a half way accurate gas gauge!

Let me tell you, if I had a 0.50 Euro piece for every time I was cut off.....I would have an unknown higher amount of Canadian Rubles......  ??? ???

I realised this too with my former Mazda3 BM (2014). The fuel readout had very little to do with the level of the fuel in the tank. It stayed at "1" (full) forever, 1/2 was really more like 60%, and then when I drove it to the 0 mark, I still had probably 7 litres left. So I frequently drove it to the 0 mark knowing it wasn't empty (yeah, I'm that kind of guy).

BMW uses a sender in the left & right tanks and reads an average; has been very accurate in my experience. When it reads 0, it really means you're running on fumes.
