It's a Cecropia moth cocoon.  I see a lot of them at my boyfriend's rural property.  Scroll down: https://www.travel4wildlife.com/cecropia-moth-life-cycle-largest-moth-in-north-america/

This little feller - 0FG's...

Took the dog out for his morning constitutional - mom and sibling ran (just across the road) and this little one figured, nah, fack that...I'm eating.

Probably could've gotten closer...didn't even flinch.  Farley didn't bark (Golden's are such good pups  ;D) or even try to "run" at it like it's supper.  Also 0FG's...I gotta poop.

I looked back as we were walking back to the house to see mamma's head poking up on the other side of the road, I guess in case things went sideways.  ;)

Old old haunt.  It was ripe for that when I left in 2005.  My most recent haunt has REALLY changed.  Drove through Bronte Village a couple of weeks ago along Lakeshore.  Barely recognized it!  So many familiar landmarks gone.

Yeah, I guess, your old, old haunt.
Did you notice that after almost 100 years Cudmores closed?

Really???  I loved that place.  A bit overpriced, but they had good stuff.

I walked by Cudmores place yesterday and spotted this 1951 Buick Roadmaster convertible in the back lot.

Neighbours replacing their X-mas lights this morning.

They’ve had those weird blue LEDs for years. Hopefully the new ones are a little nicer.
