A well maintained Sable LS, just like this one on Upper Middle this morning.

Can't recall the last time I would have seen a Sable. When I took driver's ed in 1995 the car was a 1996 Sable. They had literally just gone on sale and it might have been the first one I'd even seen.

Yes, I haven't seen one for years. I guess it's not a collectable car so ppl did not baby them. Which is sad since IMO the car looks good and the LS has a DOHC V6. The one I saw had old Ontario plates and was driven by an elderly gent.

Likely owner: senior citizen who purchased the Sable as their last car.

Transmission failures killed off most of those Sables / Taurus. Made of glass and did not last long.

Perhaps. I had a Taurus of that vintage as a rental for a week and it did not shift well, despite being nearly brand new.

Ford would have been better off spending all the money they blew on Jaguar/Land Rover/Aston/Volvo on their bread and butter vehicles like the Taurus/Ranger/Windstar etc

As an owner of a Jag that benefitted from Ford ownership money, I disagree  :P

I traded the loud 5.0 in on this yesterday.
I was suppose to get a Mustang convertible but they were sold out.
It’s surprisingly nice, handles well, decent pick up, sounds better than a 4 cylinder Mustang.
It also came with nav which is a bonus.
Hope it doesn’t break.

Sure, it rains down here through the summer months most days in the late afternoon due to heat build up. I’m sure the dealers pitch AWD in cars and SUV/CUV products for the safety factor.

Perhaps AWD is for a quicker getaway during an attempted car jacking?  ;D
Ha, ha...car jacker is likely to get into a vehicle where the driver has a gun!

The “I” use to mean fuel injection or something no? Seems kind of superfluous in today’s day and age.

Yeah, but BMW still puts it on their cars. The one on this particular example has gone missing...

I saw a navy blue LC500 at the golf course today.  Not a colour I'd pick, but I legitimately think it's one of my favourite cars being made today.

Agree that Navy Blue isn't the best. I'd pick Nightfall Mica or maybe Nori Green Pearl.

Initial observations
- VERY nice chassis - certainly see how they are able to add more M power to it. I tend to be driving it in Sport mode most of the time.
- With just ~250 HP it still gets up and goes. Does BMW under rate the HP in this?
- Certainly feels more toss-able than the Mustang.
- 20 seconds for the top to go up or down.
- Launch control standard
- It needs bigger tires/wheels
- Needs a manual
- The cabin is a bit tight for me - my left knee hits the hard plastic door pull and the arm rest on the door does not go back far enough. i think this car is made for 38 Short drivers.
I really don't like BMW navigation systems.
