Oh, yes, there's also racing. But first, more champagne!

I can't stand watching F1 anymore.

I did catch the 24 hours of Le Mans on the weekend.  What a race.  Looked like Toyota was finally going to win...  so cruel what happened.  Porsche definitely wasn't expecting to win and Audi definitely wasn't expecting a podium finish.  Now that is called a race.

^ Same here. I used to be an avid viewer. I couldn't care less at this point.

The money and corruption is one thing, but they've turned it into essentially a spec series instead of a technical showcase, so what's the point?
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

I would love to watch the Montréal F1 in person at some point, mostly for the atmosphere mentioned in l'article.

F1 itself has gotten dull the last few years, hence my switch of attention to MotoGP and everything else 2-wheels.

Yep.  I liked it when it was a technical showcase.

I also echo mlin32's thoughts.  I would love to go in person just for the atmosphere.

Around 20 years ago my Dad and I were out riding around Montreal and rode over to the track. It was open so we rode our bikes around the track which was still fun even at the much slower speeds than the F1 cars.

I drove part of the track a few years ago. Was interesting to see it from the perspective of the drivers.

I went to the race in 2012 and it was an awesome spectacle. That was the year there were 7 different winners in the first 7 races.

F1 certainly has its share of boring races (Baku yesterday was a snoozefest, which was surprising given how eventful qualifying was) but I'm still a huge fan.
