People actually buy those ugly hood and side deflectors?

Looking at the stone chips on the hood of my vehicle after a few longer road trips, I kind of wish I had one.
3M.  I have it on the entire nose of my minivan, so even areas that the hood deflector can't protect are protected.

Now if they had a similar 3M type clear product for windshield commonly available, it would save me a lot on windshield replacements.

The side visors just look ugly IMO.  What's the purpose of them anyways?

MEEEE!!!  ;D I go full grandpa package, running boards as well. With the advent of that 3M film, no more hood deflector, but the side window deflectors, absolutely!!
Gross.  I use 3M.

Do you also do the fake peel and stick chrome trimming (fenders), etc?

Now that 3M works and is widely available, I agree, no more bug deflectors. I still like the window deflectors because I like to have the window slightly open no matter the weather.
Lighten up Francis.....

If I ever get a 911, I'm getting the North Battleford upgrade package, bug deflector, window deflectors and a set of shiny, stainless steel running boards.  ;D

Some window deflector looks better than other, I like mine on my Spark

Gone but not forgotten in chronological order: 2019 Volt, 2013 Volt, 2014 Spark EV, 2012 Volt and many others before...

Ok, that looks like it was meant to be there and not an after thought like most.

I could see it being advantageous for smokers.

Smokers should be forced to keep their windows closed so other people don't have to breathe/smell that :censor:.

+1. It's especially bad on a scooter/motorcycle, but equally bad in convertibles. At least I can turn recirc on in a car.

Before the car was released I was ecstatic about the car but the front end that Honda seems to be going with these days is so ugly.  Also gas millage isn't that much better than the CR-V which in my opinion gives you just enough more performance that you need.  The HR-V is simply terrible to drive.  Don't get me wrong it's safe, spacious, well designed, reliable, and gets good gas millage but the driving dynamics can't hold a candle to the CX-3 and acceleration is pathetic compared to a Civic Touring Turbo, which IMO the HR-V desperately needs a turbo.

Once Honda refreshes the HR-V and provides Android Auto and Apple Carplay plus offers a turbo I am all in.

not quite clear as to what vehicles you mean with "new CUV", but if you mean the following here's the actual sales in Canada and the US for the first six months of 2016:

Fiat 500x:  500 / 6,531
Jeep Renegade:   2,355 / 51,850
Mazda CX-3:  4,702 / 9,502
Honda HR-V:  5,516 / 36,443
location:  Prince Edward County, Ontario

Ok, Honda's worst product?

That's the editorial opinion of one writer.  A pretty far cry from the statistical claim that it is the worst selling new CUV.
