A friend of mine is dealing on that blue one as I type this.  I hope he buys it as I want to drive it.

Tell your friend to at least test drive a 2011+ ISF.  The difference is substantial in how the car drives.
Only the suspension was changed and lsd.

You will never notice the lsd in normal driving.

The suspension can be swapped if it bothers you.

I took mine on track a few times,  basically nothing out there could keep up.   Even Gt3s on Hoosier lol

Bah, that has nothing to do with the car.  It's all driver :)

For me it would be the suspension that would have to go.  Pre update ones have a punishing ride in my opinion.  I think one day once the prices come down a bit more I will look at these cars.  Love that big V8.  When I drove one for a few days I unplugged the secondary intake connector, that noise...  :o

Here's an interesting articles about 2011+ updates.

I honestly don't understand why everyone says it's punishing.   I wonder if it softens up over time.   Because my car is pretty soft.

I'd argue no.   Because I drive LX all the time.   Drove both vehicles this week.
Everyone I've taken for a ride said it was fine.

BMW sport package is a million times firmer.

A long highway cruise I'd take the ISF over LX for comfort.

Same here. I've never been in any Lexus that was punishing. The ISF wss no exception.

I drove a 2008 ISF for a few days.  This was at the same time I owned a 335i with sport pack.  To me the ISF was much stiffer and more uncomfortable even with RFT on the BMW.

That's just weird.  Drove mine all week it's very soft.    The suspension is so compliant and comfy.  Even over train tracks no problem, just thump thump.

Tires maybe?  There were 2 types of tires offer and the michelin's PSS are better.

3.5L V6 under the hood, now putting out 255 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque

That's pretty underwhelming output for a 3.5L compared to minivans and geriatric cars like the Taurus.

What's even more depressing here, as the article mentions, is Toyota's time proven port injected 3.5 V6 as found in Camry, Lexus ES, and other cars, SUVs and vans, generates more power (near 270hp IIRC) without the complexity of direct injection or reliance on premium gas.   :-\

If they wanted a de-tuned 3.5 they should have just run it in Atkinson cycle which would result in lower power numbers but better FE than ever before.

Yes, this is the Camry engine.
