Based on how picky mmret is. I would not by a new construction from a track builder.
So many issues will occur and you will off yourself.
But a pre existing home for less and keep some buffer to upgrade whatever you don't like about it.
Everyone I know that every bought a new home is always getting
fixed or trying to sue the builder.
Also the small things on a new home add up fast, then you realize a resale would have been cheaper in the first place
