I love the way this thread just keeps on rollin'.  :rofl2:
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

This LX caught me eye as well.  But I notice the LX consumes 15-20% more gas on paper than the GX.

http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Lexus/LX/Concord/Ontario/5_24731679_ON20090615103313450/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=2_15_4

Rocket, from what I have read, when equipped with nav, it has the air suspension I think.  So I assume this one would have it.

Yes, you can see the ride height adjustment button..4th to last picture.

Also..it's missing the rear jump seats.  Otherwise...very, very nice.

And the LX470 is a real deal, very capable off road vehicle.  This is essentially a Land Cruiser in a tux.

Off road test: http://www.fourwheeler.com/project-vehicles/129-0208-2002-lexus-lx470-review/

That's something that has no appeal for me whatsoever.

Why do you think it's missing the seats?

Maybe they took them out for the photo?  Beats me.

I'd take them out...kinda useless for adults IMO.

Not a biggie.  Just the 4 of us anyway.  But curious how the kids would fit, or if a car seat/booster would fit.  Doesn't matter anyway, couple years off anyway.  I only do one car payment at a time...

Just found this on Kijiji.  Seems very overpriced compared the previous LX ad.

http://www.kijiji.ca/v-cars-trucks/oakville-halton-region/2005-lexus-lx470/1124217166

Same year, similar mileage.  Don't really notice anything different.  Other than the $6k

My Echo had shocks with oil in them too.   ;D

Yeah, but did it have pumps to lower and raise ride height? And also change between sport/comfort and normal?

It's awesome for trailer hook-ups.  Drop truck hook trailer raise truck.  Removing is simple too, loosen ball and drop the truck off the coupler.  Done.

No jumping on the back of the truck.

I've tried jumping a few times, truck doesn't even wiggle lol.

I'm looking at the parts for your LX.

Uses plain old standard shocks....nothing special.  Rears cost $42.

Hmmmm....I wonder if it's similar to the older GS430?  Uses standard shocks but had electronic valving controllers?

Active height control.   It uses fluid like brake fluid for height control instead of air.

I know what it is.  But the shocks appear in the part fiche to be traditional shocks.

Yeah I've never really looked carefully how it works.  But it's a shock with a coil spring.  maybe a helper pump?

If you drain the fluid the instructions state (be careful, when you open the bleeder the truck will drop significantly

The only thing I see that looks different is a hose going to the top of the shock...That must be the hydraulic fluid hose?

Yes and there are hydraulic pumps.

It's awesome.

Kind of weird sometimes too.  If you slam on the brakes it tries to reduce the nose dive.  So when you come to a stop you sit there for a few seconds then the rear end of the truck will drop.

Mine does similar.  Keeps the car level and flat at all times.  And lowers about 1" after 100km/h.

This looks like a great LX to get if someone's in the market!  http://www.autotrader.ca/a/Lexus/LX/Ancaster/Ontario/5_26702920_ON20080114092949476/?showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=11_15_19

Looks decent.  Still $60k which is out of my ballpark for sure.  I prefer the previous one I posted that is closer to low $20s.

If you can "live with" the LS sedan instead of the LX SUV, the LS is a much better used deal.
