I will check it out.  Funny how each of the LSs I have tested have driven just a bit differently.

How so?

The lower km one that I drove today felt softer than the higher km one here in Oakville - not by a lot, but I drove them on consecutive days and noticed.  The lower km one also felt a bit more responsive in terms of throttle.

Maybe it had the POWER button on and the other on didn't?

Isn't that a soft switch though?   It is on my ISF can't remember if it is on my truck or not.

Sure am glad I don't have $36k right now to buy a car because it would be a difficult decision between those LS and the GSF

No.  Only SNOW mode goes back to normal.  POWER stays on until you shut it off.

To be honest, my statement was in relation to the previous generation Genesis.
fair enough...but to be fair, that was their first foray into a luxury car...still an impressive first shot.

The acceleration feels like a tesla,  except you very the wonderful 5.0 noise to accompany it!

Do you tell yourself that to sleep at night?  :-)
Have you been in a Tesla PxxD with ludicrous and done a launch control hole shot?  VIOLENT!

That's the one Jaeger.  Do it :-)

I was sorta thinking the same.

Can you get this model with a black interior?  I really don't like that cherry coloured wood, looks a bit 'old man' to me.

I prefer "old school"  :P but I can't really argue against the old man comment.  I have to say that I like it.  I remember when I was a college kids one of my friend's father had an S class with polished wood everywhere and I thought that was just the finest thing.  This kind of reminds me of that.  Satin finished wood in less contrasting tones is more the current vogue in big luxury beasts and that certainly suits the more spaceship-like dashboards and sleeker / sportier exteriors.

This Lex is something of a throwback of a big, upright, smooth, library on wheels and the interior suits that concept. The model is actually really long in the tooth.  Though from 2013 and onwards it got the predator face and an updated interior, the underpinnings date back to 2007. And those 2013 and newer models do have a bit of a mutton dressed as lamb vibe to them.

Too bad they didn't make this bad boy:

http://www.automobilemag.com/news/toyota-motorsport-gmbh-shows-off-its-641-hp-twin-turbo-lexus-ls-460-187411/

Hood scoops are over the top but otherwise wow!  It will be interesting to see what Lexus brings out for the 2017 LS.  Forced induction is a must to keep pace with the Germans.

Cheap Kumho tires on a Lexus LS.  For shame.
