That engine only comes in the larger SUVs though.
My comment was more related to the Sprinter. Yes, unfortunately one would have to step up to the GLE or GLS to get that engine (OM642), which wasn't without it's problems in the early going.
It's also too bad MB only sticks the OM651 in the E-Class now.
In the U.S. they even put that engine in the GLE. No GLE350d south of the border.
Wow. That. Really. Sucks. I looked it up and they dare call it a GL300d. Lol.
Here's what really is silly:
EPA ratings for the GLE300d (2.1L I4 diesel, 7 speed auto) - 10.7L/100km city, 8.1L/100km highway
NRCAN ratings for the GLE350d (3.0L V6 diesel, 9 speed auto) - 10.1L/100km city, 8.0L/100km highway.
I think the Americans are getting robbed on this one.
