When the G35 Coupe came out in 2003 I thought it was the sexiest car on the road....the Q60 does nothing for me.  I'll stick to my 435i 6spd M Sport :) I think I would even take the RC 350 over the Q60.

Yeah, that gen 1 coupe was a styling homerun. The curves of the sedan were truncated just enough to make the coupe look lethally serious. For whatever reason the flowing curves of the second gen didn't look quite right.

Agreed.  They really hit it out of the park with the original G35 Coupe.  I'm actually looking to buy one as my next project.

I was intrigued with the new Q60 for a bit, but it kind of leaves me wanting more.  From a styling perspective, I'd rather look at the Alfa Romeo Giulia.

Love the looks of the coupe...they should trickle down the front treatment to the Q50 asap....

The rear valance was poorly done in much the same manner as the Lexus coupe with its own fake vents. Otherwise I like it, minus all the chrome. That new Buick coupe blows both of them out if the water though. My .02 CAD.

Do you realize that in about 30 (updated as requested) years, we'll have millions of old ladies running around with tattoos?

Agreed.  Saw that Buick coupe and WOW!  I wonder if that Buick coupe is on the ATS / Camaro platform?

Having owned a G35 Coupe for several years I agree it has aged very well. It was fun to drive, reliable, and costs to maintain it were reasonable. With the six speed and the Brembos it was both a good canyon carver as well as a cruiser. Fuel economy wasnt the best though. Comparing  the styling of a new vehicle with their higher belt lines means you won't get that type of styling anymore (just like you won't see cars like the original NSX or RX7 twin turbo anymore either). And likewise, the new Buick is a looker but comparing a production car to a concept car is unfair...things are definitely going to change when it rolls out in production mode.

I am definitely happy that the G...err Q60 has the new engines though. The VQS were getting long in the tooth and the new engines look very promising. I'm hoping that the they are mod friendly and find their way into other Nissan/Infiniti vehicles like the Z , the QX50/ 70 !and maybe even the Maxima. The better fuel economy  (I hope) is also a bonus.

Yup, same platform.

I really like it.  Plus the front end has a tolerable somewhat normal sized grille..
