There's a bit of a domestic bias here guys but nevertheless some very well considered nominations.  I guess the Golf R ticks a lot of boxes as a semi-affordable practical daily (I hadn't thought of it, as it came out in 2014 in Europe).  Golf R owners seem pretty fanatical, so I'll say no more! ;)

I'm  not really a Camaro kind of guy (I've always preferred the Mustang/Challenger) but I will make an exception for the Z/28.  It does have genuine supercar presence. :)

I actually went home last night and thought about this before making a decision.  There have been some pretty good vehicles come out in 2015, Porsche Cayman GT4, Chevy Corvette Z06, Mustang GT350, Mazda Miata, Cadillac CTS-V/ATS-V, Audi R8 and of course the VW Golf R.  One that never seems to be on people's list but was voted best drivers car is Mercedes AMG GT S.

But you know none of those would be my pick.  Majority of them are RWD and living here in NB means I wouldn't drive it for 6 months of the year.  A lot of them offer wicked performance but little else.

My pick would be the Mercedes S 65 AMG Coupe.  First off it's a V12, it offers all the performance I'll ever need (I don't track my vehicles), and gives me the most luxury any coupe can offer.  There's a back seat for my dog and 4matic AWD for winter driving.

The S65 doesn't have AWD but the S63 does.

Ah, good catch, guess it'd have to be the S63 then.

GT350, the second.

Totally agree.  MX-5 would be my choice: affordable, fun-to-drive, quick enough, and a roadster.  GT350 would be a solid choice as well.

BMW 7er. Saw it at the IAA. Saw it at Flughafen München. Saw it at the shopping centre in Frankfurt am Main. I want one of those technological marvels.

Plus, it's got frickin' lasers  :bounce:

Just awesome...

That color + those wheels is an awesome combination.

I'd take an S Class all day any day over the 7.

And, I retract one of my winners above...  The more I read about the new Camaro (in Motor trend car of the year issue) the more I can't believe what a performance bargain it is.
I'd save the dough and get one over the Vette.  I think....
I used to be a die-hard Mustang guy, but between those two,  no question I would put the GM in my driveway.  When (if) I get bored of the MX-5, that may be my next purchase.

Local dealer has a Z06 and a Z28 in the showroom, both black.  As much as I love the vette the Camaro drew me in more.

+2 for Tesla 70D.

Was seriously considering the 70D when it came out, but we bought an RWD 85 used (CPO direct from Tesla) as we needed that little longer range for our winter road trips.

Would have liked to have the newer auto-pilot tech, but we'll see what comes out of Tesla in a few years time when we crest 140,000 km (already at 72000 km).
