Feels like the Titan will continue to be a niche player and struggle to put a dent in traditional "Big 4"pickup sales.
Declining fuel prices, and what looks to be a "meh" Cummins offering will resign this pickup to be very much an also ran.

What "big 4"?? You mean big 3. As or this, if the diesel is good, I would rather trust Cummins rather than some dodgy Italian company, looking at you Dodge Ram. As for the looks, its a truck, it looks like a truck, whatevs. If its done well this should really sell.
Lighten up Francis.....

Chevrolet, GMC, Ford, Ram

Wondering when someone would call me out on the "Big 4"

I remember being in grade four and having a classmate claim that GMC trucks were completely different from Chevrolets. Even back then I knew better.  ;D

I've actually met people that have argued till they were blue in the face that Chev was better than GM or GM was better than Chev.....its actually quite sad if someone actually believes that there is a difference beyond a few pieces of trim.

Of course GMC and Chev the same truck, except for some trim differences.
Just trying to get some thread action on what is turning out to be a boring new product.
Disappointing actually given all the anticipation for the Cummins 5.0L. Maybe the Cummins is an answer to a question already answered given the advances in gasoline engines the past 5 years.

I wonder how much lighter it will be compared to the diesel?

I still can't get over this:

But that 5688-pound Ram seems feathery compared with the stupendously heavy, 7360-pound Titan XD. That’s three and a half tons plus three jockeys.

^ That's almost exactly what a Ram 2500 Power Wagon weighs with a 6.4 liter gas engine.

The size and weight of a 3/4 ton, with less capability.  Sounds like a success  :).  One consolation I guess is that the price is less.

Regarding the gas engine, nice to see the power bump to make it competitive.  Wonder what the weight savings will be with the gasser?  Isn't the gas version of the truck supposed to be quite different than the diesel?  Or is it same chassis, etc?
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Can't remember who it is, but someone will be really happy about the safety features of being in the bigger/heavier vehicle ::)

Ran into this once, the old boy was convinced that a GMC had a stronger frame than a Chevy. His brother was a mechanic and told him so.

I'm glad Nissan has a updated gas engine, I think they'll need all the ammo they can get to move these trucks.

 :o :o :o

Like Bridgecity said, all the weight of a 3é4 ton without the capability. Why the hell is it so heavy, can't tell me the Cummins is the reason for 2000lbs plus.
