Oh man,,, so it's supposed to be 12 degrees and sunny today.
Then, I come in here this morning and am forced to read this...  :P

Keep telling myself... waiting until next spring was the right thing to do....

Sounds fantastic. I was looking at the Mazda site and the base version comes without navigation. Does that mean it doesn't have the silly iPad looking screen sticking out of the dash? Sadly the base car only comes in non-colours (white, black, silver, etc)

The GX still has a 'screen' on the dash, controls for radio etc

I am 6'4" and 185lbs. I would own a MX5 if I could fit in one, but, alas, it is a no go for me. Now, if I could fit into one I would opt for the GX. Too many gadgets on the GT.

I think the GS is the sweet spot, but I said F-it and went GT.
If the GT didn't come with the performance goodies that are on the GS (LSD, sport suspension, Bilsteins..) I would have got the GS.

this makes me excited for the Fiat 124 Abarth. Will be like this car, breathed on by an Italian Mazdaspeed firm. Italian engine with Japanese electrics. Lovely.
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

The car is pretty but it sits much too high.  The wheel well gap would drive me nuts.

That's been said about every version of miata since 1990. You can go to the aftermarket to solve that problem.
I've got Koni shocks that lower the ride height a bit on my 90. There  is a sacrifice in the ride quality.

I'd rather that the height was a bit high OE - otherwise a lot of Canadians wouldn't be be able to own it.  I even bought the Flyin' Miata suspension kit for my car then changed my mind about installing it after my first summer - our roads are just way too bad for any less travel.   ::)

A shame about the lack of colours in the base model. Pretty weak Mazda! I'd be fine with the smaller base radio without the iPad glued on...

But at 6'2 it's a moot point anyway for me!  I wish...

Have you sat in it?  Can't speak to the ND, but at Miata events, there's usually lots of guys taller than my 6'.  My Dad is nearly 6'3" and fits in my NA.

Yours looks the way it should.

It does but there are definately trade-offs.

I'd love to see a Club Sport version (they use this name in the US) with a seriously pared down equipment list.  Delete as much as possible, get it even lighter.  Probably wouldn't sell worth a crap though.

Depends on your leg length to torso measurment.  I am 6'2" but wide of shoulder and long legged.  I don't fit.  Well I do but then can't shift nor turn the steering wheel.

I think I carry a lot of height in my torso.  I can handle sitting close, but in the NB and NC my head hits the roof.  I have been looking for an NA to sit in to see if it's any different... I would love to have one to daily all year but I can't if I need the roof down all the time.. ;)
