Ah yes, more COTY contests. The ultimate automotive click-bait.

Personally, I have got serious COTY fatigue. There are so many of these things that they have all become meaningless.

Malibu and Pilot.
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Malibu and Pilot.
i would likely agree, however, the Civic is pretty compelling too.

Nissan Titan diesel and the MX-5 hopefully.

That's what I would like to see.  A work truck and a fun car.

i'm with no-san...

but also with cord... between all the magazines, websites, and companies... there are too many of these things.

i long for the day where a car holds the one position as top car/truck, until something betters it and knocks it off. none of this, "must be this new to ride" stuff.

The article predicts that Honda will sweep the Canadian COTY categories, but how is that possible?  Isn't the Honda Pilot out of the running since losing its category to the Kia Sorento?   ???

COTY is quite meaningless to me. It only means the NEW 'best' car/truck of that particular year. The year before COTY could be much better than this year's but it is not a factor in any COTY would consider.
In that regard, CR's Recommend/Best Buy seems more meaningful to consumer. Thou the standpoint of CR ranking scheme is different from car enthusiast.
