With the $5,000 on the hood for the Limited and some room at the dealer level, can't help but think this could be a "huuuuuuuge" value.
PS We own a 2009 AWD V6 Venza. Still rates high on WAF.

^^^ agreed...the Venza still looks quite modern, the design aged really well.

Always liked the Venza, still looks like a Hot Wheels (in a good way), and it's one of the rare 2-row vehicles that can actually seat 5 on a regular basis. A friend of mine, ex-C&D staffer, owns one, so they can't be that bad to drive! His has fwd (because no snow) and with mostly highway driving he enjoys stellar mileage vs utility. Venzas could hold a crate of curling brooms.

If updated based on the new Camry, it may be a decent seller.  CUVs are so desirable, I wonder what made the Venza so hated?

My guess is materials cheapness, expensive wheels ($$$ tires), and mediocre handling.

I don't think materials have much to do with it.  Because aren't the same materials used in the Camry?

Mostly, the reason we are losing the Venza is slow sales in the US.  They don't like wagons/hatches.  And the Venza is bit of everything, hatchback, CUV.

Wheels is a "big" problem for many.  As is weight, it's 500lbs heavier than a Camry, 200lbs lighter than a big Highlander.

Interesting. My wife and I thought the Venza was like maybe three steps down from the RX350 interior quality wise, for a lot less money.

We're not losing the Venza yet, they'll probably continue to run with it while Canadians are still buying it. But a replacement may seem unlikely.

Didn't Toyota say this is last model year.  Toyota doesn't do what GM does, "classic" Impala...

The reason is lack of production facilities.

In the later part of 2016 Toyotas agreement with Subaru Indiana will terminate after 9 years.  100K Toyota Camrys will then move to Georgetown KY.  Because the Lexus ES line is now assembled in Georgetown the Venza was the odd man out.  500K units are assembled in Georgetown along with 600K engines.  The plant was reached it's transport infrastructure capacity.

Makes sense.  But if the Venza sold in the US at the rate it does in Canada, they would find a way.

First fried chicken then an extra year of Venza production, how will we Canadians ever repay our debt of gratitude to the people of Kentucky?

Toyota is nearly onto something here but I suspect the opportunity will be lost on them - again. Sensing (and profiting from) our love of
wagons Toyota kept the Matrix on sale in Canada for one additional year and now they are doing the same with this Camry wagon.

You're nearly there Toyota, you're nearly at the point of giving us a unique Canadian model but you can't quite put your finger on it so I will
spell it out for you in block capitals. COROLLA WAGON. It is the longer roofed sibling of the new Scion iM which is currently sold as the Auris
Touring Sports in Europe.

There, I said it - again.

Too bad they didn't give us the Avensis instead.

The Avensis might be a bit too 'premium' for cheapskate Canucks.

Having said that, a successful reintroduction of wagons could begin with the Auris and
then build up to the Avensis.

If it sold, they'd find a spot for it. But it's been a clunker in the US market for years.

If only Toyota marked it as an AWD Camry, it'd sell in droves :P
