On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

I do not like the regular Evoque, its the purse dog, vegan latte, embarrassment to the legendary RR name....this...this just takes that to 11. You want a proper Range Rover convertible, man up and buy a Defender. After how horrid the Murano cabrio did, who thought this was a good idea?
Lighten up Francis.....

I did, I did! Loved that vehicle. R.I.P  I now have a new favourite. Thank you Landrover for taking a risk and stepping outside the box of what's acceptable.

I too dislike the Evoque.   BUT if there were ever a good choice to create an "urban CUV cabrio" (shutter), the Evoque is it!  Makes way more sense than the Murano cabrio....

....which is to say, little if any sense.    But still.

How many well to do housewives of the southern states actually bought a Murano?? I do not have the sales figures but words like "sales leader" or "sales juggernaut" were never thrown around in the presence of the Murano.

Ever get the feeling some cars were created just to be driven by a character in a TV show/reality show purely to draw attention to the brand?
Prediction: One or more Desperate Housewives/Hockey Wives/Real Housewives of [City] character is driving one of these within weeks... PR wagon goes bananas.

Just for you Fob!!  I had to take a picture when I saw one (streets of Boston) - I figured it would be the only time I actually ever see a Murano Convertible in the wild.

I saw one for sale on my way to Niagara Falls a few years ago. It was a Nissan dealer right off the QEW.

I grudgingly suppose that the Evoque makes my eyeballs bleed but the convertible makes them bleed a bit less.

Oh it was definitely a sales leader, it blew away all others in its class!  :P

I generally grimace when the "U" is taken out of the SUV equation (e.g. reduced towing capacity, limited ground clearance, compromised cargo capacity, etc). However, the Evoque and the Murano are considered to be CUVs, so the "U" is really much more subjective and often takes a back seat to factors such as appearance, ride, fuel economy. The cabrio option, for me, truly adds four season utility to the vehicle - just as much fun and satisfying in the summer now as in the winter.

Great point, but what if you WANT to be considered a "twatwaffle"?

Disagree.
I think if you're going to buy a poser SUV for posing in than a Convertible Evoque is totally the right choice.
What's more offensive?
A Wrangler never used for anything but outlet mall shopping, or an Evoque convertible that is bought by someone who is fully upfront about their poser intentions?
