I blame the user.  I have the same style. Had mine for 1.5 years now, never gone off once.  And I bet the trunk is used a lot more often.

I find the design on the Honda key fob more easily to set off.  As it is not flush, it sticks out.

VW keyfob has the panic button on the SIDE.    main buttons are on the flat front.  no way to confuse them and harder to accidentally push.

One tank of gas is done.  7.4l/100   :o   as calculated by the MX5.  Will be keeping track manually as well to see how accurate it is.
So, after sitting for a week in the garage waiting for the weather to improve and all that ice to melt... got lots of seat time over the weekend.

- Shifter feel is getting "butterier".  Hard to imagine a shifter that feels nicer than this one
- Wish for a slightly longer 1st gear
- Most of the family got to check it out over the weekend.  All got out with a big grin on their face
- I'm not noticing the infamous body roll.  I've flung it around corners as hard as I dare at this point and it just slings you around.  Will see if my opinion changes on that, but right now it is a nice combination of compliant ride while being very tossable.
- The lane departure warning ain't the best.  When it does sense you're going astray (sometimes when you are nowhere near the centre line) a rumble comes through the sound system.  You can adjust the intensity, and even better can shut it off and it stays off.
- The cross-traffic alert is welcome though... big blind spots with the top up.  Back up camera would be nice.
- Spent lots of time yesterday top down on quiet two lane backroads enjoying the 16 degree temps and sunshine.  Bliss. I remain pleased.   ;D

Nice  O0
Yesterday was a great day for that. Insurance isn't on the SLK yet (April 1st), so I settled on the Sonoma, but it felt good to drop the windows and turn up the country music for awhile when I was out.

I hate most lane departure systems, so I appreciate when they can be fully turned off. I think (?) it's Fords that default back to "on" every time you restart - very annoying.

That's a Mazda thing with the 1st gear.  My biggest gripe with my car.

I didn't know there was famous body roll issues?

This is biggest gripe in several reviews I've read/seen.
These guys go on about here:

Though they are driving the US GT which doesn't have the strut brace, Bilsteins or LSD the Canadian GT does.

Who knows, over time I might start to notice it, I don't now.

On this side seems to make it more prone to triggering. I've set it off a number of times, the last being yesterday.
