One tank of gas is done. 7.4l/100
as calculated by the MX5. Will be keeping track manually as well to see how accurate it is.
So, after sitting for a week in the garage waiting for the weather to improve and all that ice to melt... got lots of seat time over the weekend.
- Shifter feel is getting "butterier". Hard to imagine a shifter that feels nicer than this one
- Wish for a slightly longer 1st gear
- Most of the family got to check it out over the weekend. All got out with a big grin on their face
- I'm not noticing the infamous body roll. I've flung it around corners as hard as I dare at this point and it just slings you around. Will see if my opinion changes on that, but right now it is a nice combination of compliant ride while being very tossable.
- The lane departure warning ain't the best. When it does sense you're going astray (sometimes when you are nowhere near the centre line) a rumble comes through the sound system. You can adjust the intensity, and even better can shut it off and it stays off.
- The cross-traffic alert is welcome though... big blind spots with the top up. Back up camera would be nice.
- Spent lots of time yesterday top down on quiet two lane backroads enjoying the 16 degree temps and sunshine. Bliss. I remain pleased.
