Managed to put on about 240 km's over the weekend.

:fiver:

And a great weekend it was despite still being a little cool.

That "Highway to Nowhere" sign looks familiar...think I've ridden past it a few times.

That's Concession 2 off Downey Road (Hwy 35).  We live just off Downey so that is our usual route to Cambridge.  Follow it and it becomes Pinebush Rd into the retail hell that is Cambridge/Hespeler Rd.
Love taking that route because it's quiet and avoid Hwy 24.

Will you be winter driving it?

No, plan for now is to garage it over winter.
I even sprang for an OEM car cover for the sad day it gets tucked away in the Fall...

You got yours out yet John?

Nope.  Snow is coming back, (5cm tomorrow) but will be gone again.  However, the roads are covered in rocks.  Lots and lots of rocks.  I won't get 'er out until some street cleaning gets done.  Me and the kid are going away to do some ski mountaineering on the Wapta Icefields over Easter - I'll see how the roads look when we get back.

Ah yes, that is where I saw it. Really like the rollers on that part of Con2. Same with Con1 all the way to Campbellville, stop in at the Flying Monkey for a good cup coffee.

So happy for you Weels! Didn't realize this was your first manual? Did your learn on a friends car?  When you push this button the HMI commander, what does it do?

Don't forget to talk to Julie about good routes... I may ask her myself.  It's not like I don't appreciate taking the 6 through some twisties.  It may not be an MX-5, but it's still a Mazda!

Great photos, and glad that you're out enjoying it already.

At least the roads were clean and dry all weekend. Looks like we're in for a miserable week ahead though :(

Sooo awesome, glad you got to pick it up and put some mileage on it!  John's is the wee red, mine is the wee black, I guess that make's your's the wee grey one.  I can't remember the color of Julie's.  Welcome to the club!

Mine is still parked, I haven't got it out yet.  The forecast isn't the greatest for the next 2 weeks.  I'll get it out after we come back from our cruise, which is 1st week of April.

The wee grey roadster is home.  The thing is just huge fun to drive.
Had the top down for most of the afternoon yesterday and today, was a bit cool (around + 4) but the heater breathes fire if you want it, and the butt warmers are there too.
And fack... why didn't i buy a car with a manual transmission sooner?   ::)   Anyway.. i gots one now and it's a sweet one.
Awesome weekend.. weather a bit chilly, but sun is shining and roads are clear...  :drive:

Here's a few pictures from drive yesterday:

Awesome car, and great shots!
