Thats great, when are they getting a hatchback with an engine that puts out less power than my beard trimmer?? I would love a hatchback as a daily, not with less than 150hp though.
Lighten up Francis.....

Wait until you land at Rally Subaru and find out that those prices are actually short by more than $3000.  Subaru's advertised prices are aggressive, their actual prices are not so much.

Well its Rally Subaru....I went in there once, after 10 minutes of "my friend, listen" type of salesmen, I knew I was going to get ripped off.

Isn't Subaru a little late to be releasing pricing on a 2016 model?  Most manufacturers have already released their pricing, and have had the their 2016 in dealerships for awhile..

Fobroader, the Mazder3 hatch doesn't have less than 150hp....

No.  Haven't you ever heard his stories about how they get 20 feet of snow every snowfall?

He doesn't have to say AWD.  It's the only reason people look at an Impreza in the first place.

Quoted for truth.  My experience buying a new Subaru from Ontario was extremely positive though - none of the pricing BS that is standard practice from the Western Subaru dealers.

Still like the Impreza - more than the Crosstrek - other than the mediocre power.  And nice to see that Subaru is holding the line on price, despite the suckiness of the CDN dollar.

I would seriously look at traveling were I buying a new Subaru.  Our dealers are ridiculous in their pricing - and in their service departments too.

Now now....we cannot all be blessed with your "winter weather" where you get a lot of snow and it all melts by next week. Here when it snows in October/November, that snow is still all there till April/May. We have a really bad issue with snow removal so a lot of side streets have really deep, icy ruts that even with snow tires, a fwd has a hell of a time negotiating. Add to that the stupid policy where the city goes by with graders and polishes the ever loving bejesus out of roads and yeah, awd is really, really nice to have.

Agreed.  But where?  Is there even a decent Subaru dealer in Alberta?

 :rofl2:

Not even close.

I had some repairs made in Vernon at Hilltop Subaru and wow, they were awesome compared to here.  Charged MSRP for the parts and the labour rate was decent.

That's what I thought and why I will stay away from Subaru.  Too bad, because I do like some of the product.

What about Scott Subaru in Red Deer?  Being a newer dealership, I would hope that they would be better.

Dunno about them.  But, in Edmonton, the dealers are both the same owners, and they're horrid.  They add massive fees to the initial pricing, and their service departments are unbelievably expensive.  They try to use their own "service schedule" which basically means you shell out massive sums for "inspections" on what seems like a weekly basis.  The killer is that 2x or even 3x most of their OE parts prices - ugh.  Welcome to the $300 oil and filter.

Yup - if you INSIST and say you won't pay for the "inspections" it's still $120+ for an oil/filter.  I haven't been there in ages but Subaru owning friends tell me it's worse than ever.  And Scoob indie specialists?  Not many around - thank gawd they're not complex vehicles.

Too bad you can't say that about the EGR system with a straight face.
