$4250 off AND 0% financing would be awesome.  Otherwise, well, it's decent, but not truly begging.  Begging would be both.

clicked to say the same as john.... that is just a sale... not a blowout or anything.

look at hyundai's with 5 grand on the hood and subvented rates (sure no 0%, but under 3 at least)... all the domestics with at least a few grand plus low rates...  hell, mercedes have up to 2500 and .9% on leases for affordable cars...

hard to really drop your pants, but not tarnish the brand further... if they did both rate drops and cash, the trade in values for late model vw would drop as well... and wholesalers always tend to use any low number as precedent for future values, whether these deals still exist on the new or not.

2015 Corolla with $2500 cash or 0.99% over 84 months.  VW is in the game, not ahead.

Usually, the biggest discount applies to the Jetta Highline. With the half-revamped, half-wiped (clean - of - diesel) website, we can't see anymore what incentive applies to what trim.

The full list of offers can be found here; VW says they’ll be in effect until November 2.

I wonder what will happen after November 2nd?

No, it applies only to TDI owners.

ALL VW owners in the US, TDI owners in Canada (because we're too nice) - program is not well communicated in Canada.

Here's a listing of the loyalty promo by a Canadian VW dealer:

I'm in communication with my dealer, who doesn't seem to have all the answers yet, to see if the math makes sense for a trade in my case.

Are you just worried about the potential resale price of your car, and want to get out now? Honestly curious, as one would think trading in a 2015 model would be a huge depreciation hit.

Not worried about resale, and love the car as it is. I'm just curious to see if I have a "business case" here depending on how VW treats its dealers with TDI trade-ins. I paid 3300$ under msrp in July and only put 3500km so far on the car. Back in July, a Jetta Highline (TSI auto) had 2k$ in incentives and 2k$ in dealer cashback, and I was quoted 24k$ + tx out the door. Now with 6250$ in total incentives, unknown dealer cashback, unknown rebate for skipping the 0% and unknown trade-in conditions, a 2015 Jetta Highline should be priced, at most, at 21,750$ + tx without the dealer dipping in any marging. With a new car priced lower than the trade, there would be no sales tax to pay. The math is interesting, and worth considering.

A trade-up to a 2016 Golf CL+conv. pkg would add nav, stereo upgrade and keyless entry vs my car, but I'd lose the TDI of course.

I miss having a real trunk at times, both for cargo and for bass (hatchbacks aren't equal for audiophiles) and the top-trim Jetta drives very well. It also has IRS, while with the TDI has a twist beam. Let's face it, there's a world between a 2.0 Trendline and a loaded Highline! Dash and door panels aren't even the same.

But my Golf is one sweet frugal luxo-go kart. It's a "Fender" away from perfection.

I always was against the inflated prices of VW diesel cars. On top of this I was against VW policy to make and became a monopoly without a real competition here in North America. All this is a reality not without the help of influential individuals, including politicians. And now appears they did it using multibillion dollars fraud...Enough material for the court of law!

^ Wut? The Honda Accord alone outsold VW as a brand so far this year in the US. They are a long way from becoming a monopoly in NA
