Some people care more about”hip height” than ride height...‘ is we are getting older and stiffer.

Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach the man to fish and he wakes you up at 5 in the morning.

Me too. I think the Model 3's design was a bigger departure from conventional standards and now the Y has built upon it without looking polarizing. Inside, I think I would need a HUD and also wonder how much solar heat the pano roof would let inside in summer.

I thought it was supposed to be a 7 passenger. I prefer it as it is, 5 passenger in decent comfort and lots of luggage room. I also noticed the rear seat is high enough from the floor so you don't end up with your knees up to your chin.

And comprared to other EV's (E-tron and I-Pace) the Model 3 is relatively trouble free. This one sharing the same powertrain should be the same.

throttle house

P.S. Great car. I know some ppl will still opt for Mercedes luxury but the 3.5 sec to 60 as well as very slow depreciation are compelling reasons to choose the Y.

Y is the first Tesla to have a heat pump. Which is great for Canada:

Mar 17 - performance model.  He gives a lot of dimension sizes

https://youtu.be/YDuno3I8R2s

to me the interior (with the exception of the display screen) looks like something that costs under $25k - not impressed!

Five passengers is the standard configuration, an optional 7 (or 5 +2 small) seats will become available later.
I like the Y in white, black molding looks good imho. May a day I'll look for a used one  :P
Gone but not forgotten in chronological order: 2019 Volt, 2013 Volt, 2014 Spark EV, 2012 Volt and many others before...

I agree.  This is  a huge change and hopefully something that will come to model 3s as well.

The 21" wheels look like caps IMO and they cost more not only as an upgrade but also in range and acceleration (watch the guy saying so in the end)

MORE POWER in the Y * Tesla Model Y Performance vs Model 3 Performance
https://youtu.be/OmrlhOUhEJw
DragTimes channel

As noted by Electrek, a little mistake in the video, Model Y battery 77.5 kWh is same as Model 3
https://electrek.co/2020/04/01/tesla-model-y-more-power-than-model-3-test-shows/

Note about the display shows power in kW but torque units selected is in LbFt instead of Nm

Automotive expert who compliments the rear structure design of the Model Y, and refutes the claims the hatch isn't too low (counter to claims made earlier this thread).

https://youtu.be/0onKJm4aYfU?t=170

Bumper and hatch are above the height of the Chrysler mini van, and he doesn't hear people complaining about that!
Plus, the bumper design with a bolted cross member for easy replacement in accident is something Tesla spent extra money on for good benefit.

Imho, I watched few videos on Munro live YT channel, into most of them, he seem to be please about the Tesla Model Y teardown. The points he previously disliked on initial Model 3 teardown seem to have been review & corrected.
