We downsized from an '04 Murano to a 2013 Escape Titanium. The day after we signed for our Escape we found out we were prego! For having 2 kids, one which requires a stroller and car seat it now feels a bit cramped in the car. The stroller we bought barely barely fits lengthwise from seat to hatch and takes a push to close the hatch. When it's in perpendicular it awkwardly takes a lot of the storage space.
The fuel mileage is not stellar, and the hand brake area could've been used for more storage space which I find sorely lacking. Despite all those negatives I still like the vehicle and find it to be a pretty solid little vehicle that does well in sunshine, snow, ice, and rain. We're currently eyeing 7 or 8 passenger SUV's but will probably stick with the Escape as car seats and strollers aren't forever.
