Wow this and the F-PACE. Given the entry cost, they better start ramping up production

historically, Jags have never really been of interest to me, but this XE is very nice looking...i find a lot of their newest product to be very nice...not sure i'd ever buy one, but it is really nice looking...i'd be curious to read the reviews of the diesel, sounds pretty sweet.

I just saw this on driving.ca (care of Google news) and am excited about the diesel as the base engine!!!  I'm a little concerned what the cost of the optional equipment is, and what comes standard.  Still, super excited about the XE!!!

I also think it'll do better than 8.0L/100km City and 6.0L/100km highway.  BMW suggests the 328d does 6.5/4.5, so I'd expect no more than 6.8L/100km City and 4.9L/100km highway.  I'd actually expect better, given Jag's extensive use of aluminium.

Keep in mind that it eventually gets a gas 2.0T as well so at that point it's possible the diesel won't be the cheapest option.

Agreed.  I live in Oakville and will put this on my list or cars to test drive before I make my next purchase.
