The all new Kia Sportage, with a face only a marketing department could love.

Horrid looking front end.  No elegance here.  And the width of that c pillar?   This will not age as well as the previous model.

The c-pillar is nothing new, and some of the newer CUVs (Fiat 500X, Jeep Renegade come to mind) have equally massive pillars.  I'm not sure that the chassis is going to be redesigned to add in an extra window or somehow manage to make that blind spot smaller.  Expect cameras instead ::)

It does have the face of a catfish, but having driven the Tucson with the 1.6T, I can easily say that no more power is necessary.  It's not the hooligan-mobile-getaway-car that the 2.0T in the last gen Sportage was, but it's no slouch.  The 7-speed DCT has some odd low-speed behaviour that mimics extreme turbo lag, however.  It is a little disconcerting.

I wonder how pricing will be on this thing.

Hmm. First time I remember a new Kia looking worse than the one it replaced.

Fack....maybe Audi gave Peter Schreyer the boot instead of him leaving for Kia  :P

it has the similar front end to their other new non-car products...the new Sedona and Sorento are the same, so it makes sense they would use a similar front end here.
