Is it a wagon? Is it a plane?

No, it's a Mazda 3 Sport with at $10K premium.  ;)

There really are a lot of similarities between the stylings of Mazda and Infinity lately.

I agree Sky, they do look very similar.

I hate the current automotive trends. People will buy it as long as it looks like a CUV, no matter its ride height or cargo capacity etc. etc.

Why do all manufacturers need to bust niches and create micro niches within niches within segments...it is all so stupid.

Because they hate hatchbacks, and hate wagons even more. Manufacturers dont help by shoving these things down our throat at the dealerships, and charging premiums for wagons, etc. If you want a wagon, you sure are gong to pay for it.

It is funny that these might someday morph back into wagons but heaven forbid we actually call them that.

Where is my V70R...
If driving an Alfa does not restore vitality to your soul, then just pass the hospital and park at the morgue to save everyone time.

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

Funny how Infiniti says you can "personalize" the vehicle, but don't offer an engine choice, a transmission choice, or a drivetrain (AWD) choice. I guess personalization refers to the really important things such as colours.

Which there are likely six of, consisting of white, black, silver, two greys, and maybe a red.

Likely.  I actually really liked that burnt orange they and Nissan used to have.

Amazing that, despite the very different styling, my eyes spot the GLA dna right away.

With any luck this Infiniti Q30 might actually be reliable, given that 750 people slaved to produce it to Japanese standards. By this, I'm speaking of the electronics. Mercedes inspire no confidence whatsoever in me from an electronic point-of-view.

Anyone know what Infiniti/Mercedes are going to slap together in their new Aguas Calientes plant in Mexico that's just about to open? Joint management in one plant will be interesting to watch. Infiniti is already cranking out the Mercedes 2.0t in Tennessee for all those Mercedes C Class cars assembled in Alabama.

This talks about how darn-it-all happy MB and Renault Nissan are with each other and whether they'll let Marchionne in for a spot of capital sharing.

And that ugly new Smart will get Renault electric motors for the ED model.

So everyone is just building an Audi Allroad these days. That's not a bad thing.

I....kind of like the concept. I thought people wanted to see premium hatch things.

Its got a 2.0T, DCT, AWD, small size, luxury features... I mean the styling I can take or leave but the concept itself..whats not to like? ???

Hmm check out the interior photos. Very much an amalgam of Infiniti and Mercedes elements.

^Almost looks like they sourced parts from the same place.

The window switches and seat controls look nearly identical to what's in the Berlin taxi.

Here's the previous C Class steering wheel:

Wow, it does look like a parts bin machine.  And the exterior is very Mazda 3 like.
