Reliability above average  :)

M235 is "too new".
On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.

Didn't we already determine that it isn't $20k more?

snowman, i just test drove this car with my buddy.  it rocks.  best bmw imo.  i love that it's small, unassuming, but very quick.  it just seems to scream fun and nobody knows why you're smiling so much.

Can you imagine what the M2 will be like?
I love it when a plan comes together.

Don't let facts get in the way of a good internet argument.  ;D

But you *know* the brand new 2015 Mustang will be more reliable than the BMW?  How so, oh mighty soothsayer?

I don't "know", but, turbo BMWs have a poor history. V8 Mustangs typically have complaints about the MFT and trim bits. I'd rather get a door pull fixed than replace a HPFP or twin scroll turbo.

A better tranny is still cheaper than a turbo for the BMW and is a permanent fix and an upgrade.

Then tuning and making it fit?? Plus a better FMIC, then you might as well upgrade the injectors and get a better clutch.....;D who gets an aftermarket turbo and leaves the vehicle stock?? I'm talking about muppets who will go to the dealer and get bent over by your local dealers FGC parts pros.

I never once felt like I was being "bent over" by the dealer when going in for any warranty work.  That's the nice part of warranty work -- the lack of bill at the end.

Can't say about BMW, but omg, I can only say amazing things about warranty work/coverage when I owned Mercedes models.  Dealers would go over the car with a fine-toothed comb and look for every little thing they could do - they get (used to anyway...) paid full retail for warranty work so they never skimped on it.  And MB Canada was VERY generous with authorizing significant repairs.

As soon as the warranty was up, I was off to my trusted indie.

Yep, my Audi dealer insisted they change all the brakes, rotors, and pads despite my protest. It was a factory upgrade to deal with the noise complaints from the glazed rotors.
