I hear ya, obviously, but I'm talking about them offering a NEW truck for the funsters........... I still don't know where all the 20somethings are getting $50k for these things.....

A regular cab and a 6' box would be the best for youthful midlife crisis adventures......... but no way at $60k......

Someone come in with a fun truck at $28k puhleeeeeease......

I do love all the design cues...... the big ram on the tailgate was on the little junior truck years ago......

You can probably find a killer SRT10 Ram at about the $30k mark and if you are looking at an SVT Lightning, thats easily doable for way under $30k. If you want to go offroad, again, way cheaper ways to do it for under $30 and trucks and offroad, not really. If you are looking for a basic truck truck, do not go new, find a nice, used beater truck and use that around the house.
Lovin the TRUCK !!!

New schmew.....I would rather have a truck that comes pre scratched so I do not feel bad putting any more on it.
Lighten up Francis.....

Seen a couple of these at a dealer, they look puky and garish. Not credible as rough roader.

^ Haven't seen one in the flesh, but the pictures remind me of what a 19 year old's truck looks like with aftermarket wheels and tinted lenses.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

Nice write-up, Jeff!  Am I correct in assuming that the Wilson brother on the KLR = Scott?  I still want to meet this famed celebrity. :fall:

Yup.. that's the only brother I know of.  Last I heard from him, he was in an ex Soviet hospital operating room in Estonia (posted a creepy photo on Instagram/Twitter yesterday).

Watch what you say about Estonia, now.  ;)

He seems to be enjoying it - cheap beer n' all.

I would argue that the Raptor is just as ugly and garish as the Rebel.  I mean, look at it!!!

The thing is, the Raptor has the performance underpinnings to back up its ugly bulldog face.  The Rebel is just a plain jane truck underneath.

Yup. Well said. The Raptor rocks because it has the chops, still garish tho.

You can get this for under 30k with the incentives in place now.

not a fan of them myself... the interior is alright, but not my thing... decent option, but as the write-up is saying... they really don't do all that much more than any 4x4 truck with decent rubber.
