Sorry, no arm rest, no consideration from me.  Ever.  CX-3 is dead to me because of it, too.

I always liked a lot about the Juke.  It's funky, it has powah, I love that configurable display, and the personalization options are superb.

...but it's just too much an economy car and priced too high for what it is.  Top-trim SL should have power seats for $30k.  It should have an arm rest.  I don't care that it's compact and doesn't have a lot of space inside - that wouldn't deter me from buying one.  The "meh, the CVT as programmed works" ideal is also irritating me since Nissan has its CVT better executed elsewhere (Sentra, for example).

MIL's CX-3 just had the arm rest installed yesterday as a dealer-installed afterthought.  That's not ok in my books.  Just because there's an aftermarket piece to rectify doesn't mean I want to support the initial oversight.

...and who will install that?

Please note: The armrest will be positioned above the handbrake.

Nissan.ca says this under 'accessories' for the Juke:

Armrest

Wide and comfortable for both the driver and passenger, the Juke Armrest provides additional interior storage and is available in both leather and cloth upholstery to complement the interior.

MSRP: $290

I don't care that one is 'available.'  It should be standard.  Why the hell would I pay $290, plus installation, for a facking arm rest?   >:(

One could negotiate it in as part of the deal...

Im sorry, if this thing was available with the manual tranny and awd, this would be my next commuter.......I find this thing quite interesting looking, it stands out amongst the bland, shapeless blobs that are todays cars. The CVT makes it not even a contender though.
Lighten up Francis.....

One could negotiate it in as part of the deal...
Unless you say "I want this vehicle as equipped for $xx,xxx.xx" (i.e. no mention of the arm rest), agree on cost, and then say, "oh, and I require the arm rest or I shall not be taking the deal", that 'negotiated' price will not include a "free" arm rest.  You'll be paying for it, and I've found that dealers are not willing to "throw in" accessories like they used to.  Nor should they...but what's the difference?  You either get (e.g.) $500 discount, or $210 discount and "free arm rest".

Why should I have to negotiate that?!

The Juke SL just seems long in the tooth even with it's brash styling compared to the new CUV contenders.

Mazda (the CX-3) and Honda (the HR-V) these are both new and agreed under powered.

AWD-V uses torque vectoring, which is great but it's not the standard equipment.

Anyway, I prefer my car better grounded.  ;D

If I wanted a specific vehicle, having to pay for a friggin armrest isn't going to break the deal.  Your paying for it one way or another, whether its installed at the factory or at the dealership (yes, probably less expensive to do it at the factory).
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

I don't understand your rational.  You really like vehicle A,  vehicle B is OK too.  But Vehicle A you have to dish out $2-300 for an armrest that is available.  Your going to ditch A for B and live with a vehicle that overall you like less.

Of course its OK if we differ on opinion.  I wouldn't have it any other way.  ;)

But you think an Evoque is ugly. Hmmm.

Oh my god yes, the Juke is at least interesting, the Evoque is an ugly fashion accessory.

By that standard the Aztek was "interesting" too.  ;D

Yes, but a negative "interesting" much like the Evoque. My problem with the Evoque is its like having a fake Land Rover, the whole all hat, no cattle thing.

My rationale is to not support a product that I don't agree with. I was a little pissed when papa Noto bought a Corolla with non-variable intermittent wipers...but since it wasn't my $ (as many of you are waiting to point out), I had no say.

I like to support things that I agree with.

The VW City Jetta didn't have armrests either, not even as an accessory. But you could get one on the internet.

I find manual variable intermittent wipers to be annoying. Rain sensing or bust.
