"The 2016 Camaro Convertible’s electro-hydraulic power roof got a lot of attention, and it really is a nifty piece of work. When up, this soft top emulates the profile of the Camaro Coupe. When down it disappears beneath a hard tonneau flush with the trunk lid. It’s completely flat, very precise and form-fitting. Chevrolet describes it as, “the most sophisticated top in the segment.” Notably, the top is capable of opening or closing at speeds up to 50 km/h."

Engines include a 2.0L Turbo inline-four cylinder making 275 hp, an all-new 3.6L V6 making 335 hp, and an LT1 6.2L V8 that produces 455 hp and 455 lb-ft torque (the most powerful Camaro ever, says Chevrolet). Each engine is available with a six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic transmission.

Finally, engine/transmission optioning that makes sense (sufficient differentiation)!!!  Stupid Ford and its stupid 300hp V6 and 310hp 2.3T.  Dipshits.

Can't believe I'm actually praising GM here, but this is a really, really solid car (assuming you like giant cars with limited interior space).

Rented the SS version of this for a week while in Florida. Had to put luggage in the back seat to get the top down  The car is big, heavy, and not very fun to drive. Perhaps if I got one with a stick it might have been more entertaining. The interior is just garbage, my 2002 WRX would be a step up

No.....a convertible car is a hell no from me, a pony car, hell no x3. The V8 sounds like a great powerplant, can't wait to try one out.

Rented the SS version of this for a week while in Florida. Had to put luggage in the back seat to get the top down  The car is big, heavy, and not very fun to drive. Perhaps if I got one with a stick it might have been more entertaining. The interior is just garbage, my 2002 WRX would be a step up 

New and lighter maro isn't out yet - you had the old gen. This new one is much different - like c6 to c7

He is getting old , hard for him to remember about model changes

But the Boxter was designed as a convertible, not from a coupe that had it's roof lopped off.  The Cayman came significantly after the Boxter.
