i suppose that thing is possible...the problem is finding people who are willing to pay $4 Million to buy one.

Plenty of rich people would buy that for the novelty.
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.
That makes me feel angry!

I'm guessing it's some magnetic thing...so you'll only be able to ride it on steel sidewalks.   ;D

they're saying this one does not require special surfaces, unlike previous prototypes, though the fact that this one require liquid nitrogen cooling is both geekishly awesome yet rather frightening... like, seriously?
Do I contradict myself?

I don't believe for a second.  It's using magnets of some type and liquid nitrogen to cool said magnets (or conductors).  It needs metal underneath.

Agreed.  Specifically, iron.

The planet earth is literally an "earth magnet", it has naturally occurring iron everywhere, an iron core and a huge magnetic field. Maybe they have "tuned" into that, somehow.

Wow, even if it worked you'd think it would be tough to control. On a regular longboard you have friction to limit things, this would be more like riding on a cheap drone, which to me is like piloting an air hockey puck.

I'm trying to think what Lexus is making out of this.

Perhaps it'll use some sort of magnetic suspension in future models?

Magnetic wheels, so it can literally float down the road.  Lol.
