Man that's a lot of engine in a little space. Can you say shoe horn !! These V8 engine and sounds are most likely the last of the generation with all electric and hybrids matching or exceeding power output.

I think the word for this car is dated.  The interior is a generation old, the exterior the same, and no one has a naturally aspirated V8 anymore (of course I'm refering to the segment this car is in).  I still like it and to me it looks like a bit of a sleeper.  That being said, if it was my money I'd probably buy the Merc C AMG, then BMW M4, then Caddy ATS-V, then this Audi RS4, and finishing with the Lexus IS-F.

New Lexus RC F - still a V8, still naturally aspirated. Funny how Lexus can be traditional like that sometimes.

Oh right, I guess I just completely dismiss the RC F.  Oops

This would be a good car for me. I like GT cars...attractive, powerful, comfortable coupes. I give zero facks who I could beat in a race or what the lap times are.

Plus, if I ever did buy a 'track car', no matter how fast it could go, guys like Wing would whip me in half the car anyhow.

So in the end, I like the idea of smooth, luxurious, stylish power.

Even though the car is a little dated, there is still something that makes me constantly do a double-take at A5/S5/RS5's.  They got the design just right IMHO.

Personally I would get the RS4 instead, I just prefer the sedan shape, looks more menacing.

Still got it....for sure! I think this is the best looking Coupe (2-door) GT in its price range. Audi is going to have a hard time topping this in the B9.

Exactly. I give zero-facks in how track ready a car is because it will never see a track. I drive my cars on the street and I want them to perform better in day to day driving.

Isn't that even more reason to like this car?

When the RS5 came out, I thought it was the best looking 2 door coupe available, full stop.....now thats its been a few years....I still think its the best looking coupe available. I don't care about dated, or it doesnt have the quadrophonic rear seat armrests, this car just plain looks good....well not in red, but blue or pearl white....(insert Eartha Kitt growl here). The C63 is more savage, the M3 is more dynamic and the Lexus looks most like a Predator, but for day to day, this would be my pic.
Lighten up Francis.....

I think I actually prefer the styling of the S5 but both look great and it's hard to believe this design is 8+ years old.

Yeah, have to agree. The S5 is still a looker after all this time.

Gorgeous car!  My money would go to the RS4 for the four doors, but I would certainly take RS5 over the MB and BMW equivalents.

Agreed - unlike the MB and BMW, the Audi has presence

you would take the previous gen RS4 over this gen RS5? this generation handles a lot better than that one. that one was severely nose heavy and understeery. this one is incredible. because of the doors issue, i think I would lean to the current M3 between four doors and AWD, right now four doors are more crucial in my lifestyle, though in truth i would shop for an iconic straight-six M3 despite the improvements in power over the years.

but damn, the M3 is awesome right now...

awww, who am i kidding... 911 or bust for me. but i really like the M3 too. now if we had Avant options to consider, i might have to rethink everything.

I think the word for this car is dated.
comparatively speaking, I agree.  It has aged very, very well though, it just doesn't have 'all' the new tech - but welcome to the future of all automobiles - >$1M Bugattis won't start shipping with Adaptive Cruise Control, but they won't be 'dated' because of it.

This would be a good car for me. I like GT cars...attractive, powerful, comfortable coupes. I give zero facks who I could beat in a race or what the lap times are.

:iagree:

...but then again, so, too, does the RC-F, just not with AWD.  I really liked the RS (though some JY didn't let me drive it :( - nor some JB with the RC-F), but the RS4 would more be up my alley (4 doors + awd + moar powah).
