^ Tough sell when you can't start it to take it for a drive.

Sounds like a younger guy putting in the time & has run outta steam.

Ya, too bad.  I'm sure some backyard mechanic will pick it up for below asking and getting it running.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

That's why you can almost never get your money back after a big overhaul/rebuild

IIRC The Hire got bit with a Lamborghini with a rebuilt engine, and that was from a very highly regarded specialist

Yeah I wonder what is goin on with that.  I think it was suspected some of the work wasn't done but billed for to the previous owner.

Definitely not worth $150K.  I always thought that the Emira was supposed to be in line with the BMW M2 and Cayman S, but they priced it outside of both really (I know the Cayman S has gotten very pricy also).  Still very cool and a dream car to many, just not priced in a way to really be a value.

Only 8 Worldwide of this color and only one in CANADA

There's a 6 page thread on an Emira forum for pics of this colour, I guess those 8 people are really active!

That price is nuts, but not surprising to take a shot at nabbing someone that just has to have one now

Location on fb not the one shown in the pics - this is a 3rd crown McBurb (today's vibe houses, ditches, large lots, aerial power, ...) - probably Candiac or such. House has a racing trailer with tires on the side...

So decades of secrecy are ending and the Klein "collection" is finally out in the open, and about to be cleared. Fascinating read - especially the linked piece from 2012.

That place often came up over the years, a legend in all car guy circles. I read the 2012 piece when it came out, probably more before. As is often the case with old racetracks and junkyards, redevelopment probably pushed the Kleins to auction off everything. Rudi's 500K is worth North of 30 M$ easily.

What a waste, I hate "collectors" like this guy. Just lets vehicles rot for no reason. Its like the people that treat cars like investments, drive it or sell it. I just don't get it, why buy a car and not drive it, if I could swing a Ferrari 250, you bet your sweet a$$ I'm driving it to Sobeys for bread.
Lighten up Francis.....

Sounds like he was more of a hoarder than a collector.

Iunno, I kinda get this one. Guy has hundreds of 60's and 70's Porsche's and Mercedes, that were damaged, and would've likely been crushed 40 years ago....Instead, they provided parts to fuel the hobby for those years, and now they're still around, some might even end up getting rebuilt. Not a bad ending.

I think it's more about the 1935 Mercedes-Benz 500K. That should have been loaned to Mercedes, even the free restoration.
