I wasn’t even aware that was a thing.  Pretty cool and unique, but like Firm I’d probably just go Caddy for the same money.

I think the engines and transmissions of that era are really solid, it's the fancy suspension stuff and other electrical gremlins that get you. Overall though, I think if you got it cheap enough, used it gently, and maintained it, it's probably be worthy.

I'm with ya on that Bubs...I like those cars.  So long as it doesn't have the beige interior.  Not sure I'm old enough to drive a Buick though...that would mean I'd have to drive 15 under speed limit everywhere I go and not use blinkers or brakes.  Just coast and "guess!".

I thought I saw this one up for sale a couple months ago & then it was gone quickly. It is super rare for sure! The manual from what I've read was quite uninspiring though (pretty sure TheHire didn't like it in his review). I've been watching these for a bit now too, prices are starting to creep down. Some nice AWD S models out there now with low-ish mileage in the $46k - $50k range.

I'd bet it's more inspiring than a Sonic...so I'd take it if I had too.  Maybe not as reliable as the Sonic though.  Definitely prettier to look at.  Shi# even sitting on the side of the road, the people laughing at you will still be going "damn...nice car" Bahahahahahaha!! - where with a Sonic..."oh...you poor!" as they continue to drive on by only feeling sorry for your sorry arse.
