Laser 917 next to it - I think. Now that one was a dreamy kit car that could be made up to look quite good:

Safari 944 although the front end gives off a bit of a 924 turbo vibe.

Ha, ha, ha!! Passport is gonna be put to work later this week. Off to PEI via Maine & New Brunswick with 4 adults onboard, 4 sets of golf clubs, suitcases containing 10 days worth of clothes, a couple coolers & the roofbox as well for extra storage room (figure 3 sets of clubs will fit in there). That's where the size comes in handy... though I suppose an E-class wagon would work as well... hmmmmmm

Saw this early '00s Mercedes S600 for $7500 with only 82k on it. Good thing I already bought the XJR or else this would be mighty tempting.  ;D https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/616330907276526/?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Ac83104d7-1384-43d4-beba-afb74feb8b2a

Yeah but this is the 2003 or later twin turbo.

Remarkably, the M275 enjoys one of the best reliability reputations of any recent MB engine. Other than needing new coil packs every 60k miles or so (which will set you back about $1000 for each of its two cylinder banks), the engine doesn’t seem to need much besides routine maintenance. And it’s known for piling on some impressive miles. Check out this 2007 S65 example, which has done 322,000 miles since new and appears to be still going strong.

:D  What a difference a year makes! We have a friend who works in an independent Mercedes shop and his kids first cars were all big Mercedes sedans, he got them for nearly nothing but he knows what to look for

Great car.  The domestic brands didn't know what hit them.  My friend had one; it was reliable, economical and fun to drive.

Had one too. A 79 I believe. Had the “HondaMatic” transmission. Remember it being really reliable, but really rusty!
