He is a 25 year old engineer. It was a challenge he wanted to do it.

I figured that was the case since FI was available in 74 and is an easy swap.

But as you point out, tinkerers like to tinker!!

Speaking of Nissan inline 6s . 73 240z original owner in N.S .https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/truro/1973-datsun-240z-for-sale-by-original-owner/1642842614?undefined

A friends son has a 72. It was a basket  case from California. Now totally restored by he and his dad. Converted to fuel injection for better drivability.

Yea, the cool thing about these is the later fuel injected engines fit right in with minimal fuss.

His is fuel injection from a motorcycle and Arduino ecu I think.

Fuel injection swap here too ;)

What am I looking at here? I see 8 intake runners, but why are they sideways?  ???

Huh, thanks. I wasn’t familiar with that engine, at all. Seems like a peach, now that I’ve read up a bit on it.

But I still have no idea how that intake is plumbed or why it’s crooked. “Fixed volume” is all I found, but no explanation.  ???

Lots of Formula Drift guys used to use these.

re: intake manifold.  The "hot" aftermarket on these was to replace it with a Cayenne intake manifold.

Yeah, a friend shoehorned it into a Z car.  Called it the 450Z.  Never did get the cooling sorted.
He's the same guy with the father/son project of putting a LS in a E90 BMW

Unless it's a turbo, it wouldn't spin them anyway.

I remember a few years back one of you's had a friend with a 240Z with a 5.0 (old style) in it and it was sa-weeeet! and I could've bought it for $13,000.  I wish I'd bitten the bullet.  Dream car, not sure I'd fit or be able to get in anymore. LoL Shi# knees...

So...that leads me to something I could get in to, but not that I'd be into (in to? So confusing this language) it...just not sure I agree it's worth what they're asking.  Hasn't sold yet...doesn't mean it won't. $2500 - good enough!

Trucks are down a solid 10%. Rams are down way more, they are just dead in the market for some reason.
