Nice solid car. Price is a bit steep for a non-original engine/trans, even if the MGA unit is an improvement power wise, TD's prices have taken a hit over the last few years and are trading far below where they were 5+ years ago. Aging enthusiast group, and being (arguably) the least pretty of the T-series group are not helping it. I looked at one here last winter, in similar condition, but with all the correct numbers matching running gear, for less money, and took a pass on it.
This example has a stock dashboard that's not cut-up, which is rare (most have been cut/modified for extra gauges or whatever) and has factory MGA wheel that doesn't appear to be cracked....that wheel is a few hundo right there. Seats have been redone in vinyl (oppose to the original leather) and the bottoms don't match, expensive to correct if you care about that kinda thing.
I'd be curious on how the clutch is setup for the MGA driveline. T-Series cars use a cable system with a series of rods and levers, an MGA uses a hydraulic system with a dual brake/clutch master and a slave cylinder for the clutch...As a result the pedal setup on a T-Series car is dramatically different than an MGA, so it wouldn't be a straight forward conversion.
