That's not even that crazy.  I mean that truck new was likely $100K and they did put some custom work on it, and the market is crazy for these things.

Scam?
I don't think so. Possible it has some history.

I could probably park my entire GMC inside that thing, it's huge.

Here's the almost-perfect spec of GMT400 available on Bring a Trailer: 1996 regular cab short box with the 5.7, manual, Z71 package, and red. Only thing missing is the G80 locking diff. I wonder how high this is gonna go. Ends in a few hours.

That's a proper pickup truck....I'd personally prefer an ext cab, but I understand the appeal of the reg cab. Reg cab with 4x4 is a pretty rare combo, nevermind the stick shift.

Sticks were sorta common in base models with the 4.3 but definitely not in something like this.

I do remember a friend of mine working at a Chevy store around 2000 telling me about a guy who retired from his mining job in Cape Breton trading in a loaded stick shift regular cab GMT400 for a loaded GMT800 regular cab 4x4 and a C5 Corvette. Nice combo of vehicles at the time.

That Chevy RCSB was RNM at $29k. Interesting there were five different bidders between $28-29k. Surprised none of them were willing to go higher.

Here's a first year GMT800 on BaT with just 1300 miles. Light Pewter Metallic, naturally. Such an awful colour. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1999-chevrolet-silverado-15/

From what I remember, that was like the most popular colour for a GM truck for that generation  ;D
