I do, those are ten a penny in Europe.
In this custom factory color, in this shape, and stateside?  Loads of them over in Euroland of course, but there are loads of cars on our shore that would be big bucks in other markets.

The hobby car market is off the rails and if you try to apply rationality you'll just frustrate yourself...Just roll with it and make hay while the sun shines. For $66K USD you could get yourself a real nice AM Vantage, a pair of Maserati GranTurismos, or even a nice 997 and still have cash left over. Yet clearly you've got enough people who would rather have an Irish Spring colored 25 year old example of BMWs sport compact - ok, it's the performance variant, but it's a fraction of the car those others are.

Just saw this on Kijiji.https://www.kijiji.ca/v-classic-cars/new-glasgow-ns/factory-five-818s/1603254144?undefined
Subaru drivetrain.
Those are cool but I'm not sure if they are road legal in Canada.  Would make a great track day car and not a bad price.

^^ Not sure. No picture of the rear of the car to see if there is a plate. It does say it was built by a professional and is papered whatever that means.

Blows my mind that the Bimmer sold for $66K usd!  ::) Makes the $55k that the C6 Z06 went for seem even more reasonable.  I know which one I'd want.

Not after inflation!

It's a rare, classic, desirable car at this point. Its price when new has no bearing on its value today.

Fair point, but personally I don't consider it a 'classic', in the 'great' sense of the word.

Yesterday browsing through the wholesale stuff I came upon this Lexus. 2006 LS460 with the rare and expensive executive package. Car had 452K...dash lit up like NYE in times square and a 19K hit in its lifetime. I STILL wanted to bid on it! And I 100% guarantee I would have it it weren't in Ontario. Brought around $5K.

I'd take it over white, silver, grey... Maybe even black.
